Your car would scream because of the intake. With a stock airbox you won't hear anything though you WILL feel the torque pick up.

yeh man car was warmed up, didnt check the oil levels till today so im hoping it was just the low oil. tbh i didnt feel much differences, besides maybe abit quicker on the revs till 8100.but yeh no noticable crossover.
jibz- so there is no sound difference.
is there a crossover sound on a jdm k20a?. abit confused now.
Hmm.. I got 152.3kw on a hubcentric dyno with just GruppeM and a tune (if you can call it that) on a VAFC2.

Symphorced --- I have tuned a couple of ep3 on the dyno and your reading is very good. Congrats on a good tune.
How many kilometres has it done and how often do you vtec it? It also seems like your burning quite a lot of oil, so for maybe next service go for a slightly higher grade. I normally use full syn 5w30 and my car barely burns any oil. Check what type of oil it is before you top it up, like if its full, semi or mineral base oil.
Would recommend the new Cusco Engine oil Fully synthetic 5w-40. Will post up the Apexi AFC Neo tune as well using the same oil tomorrow. Have to get to work tomorrow and print out from the Dynapack CPU.
Ok, so maybe I don't have cams :P, perhaps a REALLY healthy engine? will see when the Kpro goes in. Just felt there must be something different because when dragging other EP3's/DC5's I'm usually quite a lot faster with similar or (supposedly) less mods.
All EP3's are JDM K20A here. Honda did a good job on engineering the airbox's resonance chambers to silence the intake sound. you can try a Hondata airbox mod to see if that makes it a bit louder (involves cutting the main partition of the airbox to make one large chamber instead of two). Otherwise, going with a Injen will be guaranteed loud cross over.
