holy crap those r fat
hahah ur so high
ammuray --> what type of rims are they? Also, did ur Civic come stock with 15s/65 profile? By suspension do you mean you're putting new shockers in or springs?
By drives like a bus do you mean that the turning circle is a lot less tighter now because of the bigger rims and you can feel every pebble in the road so the ride is not comfortable anymore? Are your brakes feeling useless at the moment because they're having stopping your heavy 20s?
I've dreamed of putting chrome 20s as most of the ideal styles I like only start at the 20 inch size but have been very reluctant because of the problems mentioned above (comfort of ride, steering, brakes, cops, insurance)
I think 20's will kill the car's handling/performance unless you do some serious mods to make them fit comfortably.
by bus i ment the car has the same clearance.. handleing wize i have not really had a chance to test it because of massive scrubbing... its gettin put on coilover's.. just waiting for a few places to get back to me on avalabilty .. i dont care what type i just need them asap... they make the car a bit slower... but not much... handling.. i think will inprove once i get it all set up nicely... but it does not really matter lol its just gettin done a show car really...
the rims are Status Dynasity 20x8.5
Yes i did have 15/65 on there before lol
amurray - being 8.5 wide do the rims scrub on the strut tower? i was gonna get 20's but after doing some measurements i thought the tyre or will if i slammed it would rub on the strut - so i decided to get coilovers before rims.
Maybe thats wat the guys with the bodykit need. a lift kit or 20'' so the thing wont scrape against curbs and driveways :P
aren't coilevers just adjustable springs? Isn't it gonna look crap with all that gap if you increase the height too much?
i guess you could call coilovers adjustable springs - but they replace the entire strut/spring package - the standard ones are pretty wide where as a coilover is alot thinner meaning you can have a wider tyre/rim fitted.
once i have my coilovers i dont plan on being high and on 20's - even if it requires a hammer and angle grinder lol
it only scrubs on the guard.. there is heaps of room between the strut and the tyre... the coilovers have alot of adjustment.. so that u can sqweeze it into the guards lol.. they are also hight adjustable.. and will limmit movement so the tyre will not bottom out
