20% tint - any issues?

I'm thinking about getting 20% tint seeing as KRudd wants us to spend the money.

My only worries is that the cops would pull you over at night because it'll seem really dark (then again, i've seen heaps of cars with 20%). And also that if you write of your car, that insurance wont pay out.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i cant find a thread.

Please post side view pics of your car if you have tints from 20% - 35%

This is mine currently with 35% (i think) on an overcast day. On a bright sunny day, the tint seems very light.

Your tints arent 35%. They are at least 25%.

I have 35% and im able to see the background clearer through the windows.

If you dont want to be seen or anyone to look inside your car then get 15%. Its what most people have.

They do seem darkish for 35% but it's very hard to tell from just one picture, as there are so many variables. I had 20% on my explorer and it was great, unless it was very bright. I'd suggest 20 with 5 on the back, or if you can get it, 15 all around.

Nah, trust me. its 35% or lighter. Thats why i said overcast. On a sunny day, it looks like i have no tint almost. Anyone with pics?

Yeah below 35% is illegal for a car, but no one really gets done for tints unless cops pick on you.

I like 25. I wish I could get that....but 20 is the only one after 35 that teh shop has....and i think their '20' is actually 18.

darkest legal is 35%
I had 20% on my euro and no probs
I currently have 10% on my car atm... and its a bit dark at night but its manageable
