Just simple question: In australia (or qld especially) is there any rules not to park car without plate number outside the house (eg:kerbside)? I live in rural area so there is no parking restriction (24hr), and i plan to cover my car as well.

is the car registered ?
Basicly the car has engine problem. While waiting to source for new engine, install etc, my mate just surrender the plate number and said the car got accident. He got some $$ back. So i think the car still under his name but without plate? Correct me if wrong.
if there are no parking restrictions and it isn't disrupting traffic i dont see what the problem is
maybe just put a wheel clamp on it so no body thinks someone just dumped the car and tows it away
my mates car had engine problems. he left it on the council strip of lawn at the front of his house. had it there for some time (2-6 months) and eventually the council towed it away.
2-6 months?
jesus
it could have been longer, i dont remember how long he had it out there for. i do recall it had a jungle of grass growing all around it haha
Your mate doesn't live in Penrith, does he Joyride?
A Corolla?
hahaha no, this was years ago. and he lives in the most bogan town in NSW, dapto!!! lol
had my housemate's car parked outside our house for about 2 months when he went back home for the hols... car didnt have rego plates, stolen by drunks as theres a pub just round the corner from my place. someone reported the car and we got a council note to say that if we didn't remove the car within a week it would get towed away. ended up pushing it into the garage only to have it towed away to the wreckers a month later for 50 bucks!
Put the car cover on and people will be less likely to complain and get it towed away.
