Hey everyone, just wondering what types of gearbox oil people use in their DC2R's. I usually run genuine gear, what do other people use and if they like or not.
Thanks.

i use OEM oil... no need for anything more unless the box is being puniched on the track
Oem ftw..................
im chasing the same question? whats a good oil for solid track use??? ive only used oem
I've used redline shockproof (i think thats what they are called?) and found it was great for a day at the track. I've used oem oil on the same track in the same season and found that oem overheated within two sessions. Became very notchy.
wow.... ive done full days, 6-8 sessions, 10+laps each time, and have never ever faulted OEM MTF... and i dont consider myself sunday driver...
having owned the car from new, my gearbox is still great with 70k kms on it... like i said, i'm no Sunday driver
Going out for a leisurely cruise.
Sunday driver means a relaxed driver... the opposite is someone who pushes their car to the limit...
If you have done work on your box, or your the rest of your drivetrain is worked, or you are putting a considerably higher load on your gearbox as a result of regular trackwork you will need a different oil...
until then keep your MTF fresh and you will be fine...
What about Royal purple. any thoughts?
bit OT, but i've used Royal Purple engine oil and i wasnt impressed...
