		Try NRMA
Or don't lower your car untill you sort out your insurance first :)

yeah AAMI can be pricks..I am with them, and when I disclosed to them that I had put on aftermarket headers, they informed me that no-one under 30 (i am 30) can drive the car and be covered! if you're under 25 you could find cheap cover hard to come by with mods...

that's interesting.. i'm with AAMI, 23, 60% NCB and i asked them about mods..t he said i could have 2 mods.. and i asked them a few questons so yeah :S

AAMI didnt allow me to lower the car, and NRMA only allows 30mm lower (not bloody likely!)

from my understanding, when u enquire about mods with AAMI they point you into the direction of their subsidiary Just Cars. Now i know for a fact that they let u have mods and typically third party insurance would cost around <$1k

give them a ring and find out

Bugger! I'm with AAMI, and they told me pretty much unlimited mods without increasing my premium (i'm 25 though). They said that as long as the mods are legal i am alright... Which reminds me, i need to tell them about the tint!

i'd double check that Dom, they were absolute pricks when i talked to them about mods.
Joypop, you will be able to get insurance but it'll cost ya. Just Car will do it and prolly charge you an arm and a leg. Otherwise, try Suncorp, they were also willing to do it. Car just had to be legal in your state (they only do a few mods though, car cant be heavily modded)

I remember Just Car saing you could have unlimited mods, within reason.
I wasn't too specific with mods with AAMI, i know i can have 2 mods for my age, and the main one i enquired about were larger rims and wider tyres, which they had no issues with - some insurance companies get way anal about that.
I should ask them personally if loweing the car is possible.
I guess you win some, and you lose some
