I was wondering how much does the OEM front lip for the AP1 s2k cost ? I have tried searching in ebay and they are all CF ones. Was the lip an option for the s2k when purchased ? I assume that Honda will sell them.

You assume right, you should call honda to find out the price :)
Should be around 700-800
find a used one. I think engine09 had one for sale, might be sold though. used ones go for around 200 or so.
I just called Honda to enquire about the front lip. I got quoted $700 and there is none in stock in any of the Honda dealers. The bloke told me that it is not something they carry since no one really buys it. I am kinda suprised at how much this cost. I remember the lip for the EG Civic costing $150 only from Honda.
Anyhow I searched the forum and found that there are some places selling non original ones prepainted for around $500 but I think the place is in Sydney. I looked up ebay in the states and they have lips for $20 - $40 USD + shipping but for that price it may have massive gaps etc. Does anyone know if there is any place in Melbourne that sells them and that I can possibly go and check for fitment ? I prefer not to buy fibreglass ones. Will be posting in WTB section. Thanks.
To be honest id got for the OEM one, it comes painted and the fitment is 100% it also comes with the weather rubber which non genuine ones dont, so if you hit your lip it will scratch your bumper, by the time you buy the ebay one get it painted and mess around for a few hours putting the brackets together then putting it on only to find that it does not fit properly, ive been throu 3 lips, after my genuine OEM one broke I had two ebay ones and I'll never get one of ebay again, both lips from ebay had awful fitment issues then the hassle of getting it painted. So at the end of the day how much are you really saving maybe 200 bucks and all that time and effort, id pay that extra and get something that fits correctly. :)
By the time you fiddle around prepping and painting a non genuine you may as well buy a genuine one for an extra $150.
Exactly.
If your going to spend 700 on a lip you'd may as well spend a little more and get a whole new after market front bar
