depends on if ur planing to do more engine mods later down the track, an increase torque an power.... id still go exedy stage one, since it can cop more abuse in the long run
are there any down sides to going with a stage1 over an OE?
its got more clamping pressure, an with the lighter flywheel, makes the engine more rev happy but goin by exedy australia, there isnt a stage one kit, only heavy duty :S.... only slight down side iev heard, maybe heavier foot pedal pressure, other than that, operates same as oe
there is nothing wrong with using oe replacement, only main differance is that they change the clutch cover, resulting in better clamping pressure, but still retain the oe friction plate if im not mistaken
oe replacement, unless you got a internally modified engine putting out great deal of horse power, or towing trailers
i will probably order it from the states because its cheaper
looking at these kits ...

what's wrong with your old flywheel?
its too heavy lol
u mite loose torque with lighter flwheel, but easier to pick up revs, just be aware of this, but id go for 2nd pick.. its the whole package, and no need to remachine ur flywheel, an u know for fact, the flywheel was engineered like that, so it wont fail under load, unlike those who re machine oem flywheel to be lighter
lol - the D15b7 needs to rev up to make torque anyhow ... i would prefer the quicker revs
so you think a stage1 with Exedy fly would be a good choice?
i would, an for the money u pay for, its worth it in my books, considering a hd clutch rrp is 400 already, an with currency as it is, u b mad not too, but dont take my word for it lol, i think its also best to ask on d-series.org as well on what they think as well as those who have that kit in, its better to ask from those who have the kit in than takin some other word of mouth
yeah i already have a thread on there as well lol
