How good is the engine? (2004 Euro)

Hello ladies and gentlemen!
I am acquiring a used (duuhh) 2004 7th gen Accord Euro (CL9..??), the test drive was brief but the car was very smooth and has mint bodywork.

My question to you all is this;
The engine is almost at the 170,000kms mark, the car has always been serviced on time and ALWAYS at a licenced Honda garage (seems legit!), how hard could I be on the car without damaging the engine?
I'm just not sure if hitting 7,200 while VTEC will really hurt it as i've never owned one before (driven mums new 2011 one a fair bit) or wether i shouldn't push it above 5,500 etc.

This all said, i'm not a hoon who wants to hit fuel-stop at every shift, i just like the occasional 2nd gear up to 90kph squirt, how do these 2.4L engines last..?

Please also note this is my first ever car and i'm on quite a tight budget, i can't afford to blow the engine etc etc but i don't wanna drive like a granny...

If the paperwork is legit... Then sure go nuts
Have you down a leak down/compression test?
Have you checked when the last time the auto/manual transmission fluid was last done?
If it has only been done once or twice or never - i'd walk away
As the first thing to die with your driving habits will be the transmission and maybe a few cv's

Yeah with the auto go to a.mechanic and get a full flush. The auto is the part to first go on most cars as people neglect servicing them as they don't even know it needs servicing. So get the auto flushed and you'll be sweet. You'll see it also drives and shifts much smoother.

Take care of the car and service it accordingly.

I dare say you'd be able to double the mileage its got atm.

Thanks for the many replies, it is actually a manual so I would say it's a trillion times better than an auto.
Our holden auto is a bit iffy, anyway, I didn't check when it was flushed but it's been serviced without fail at Astoria it's entire life. I have a few people who can vouch for Astoria being really good.
As for the comp test we have not yet, it's going to get a RWC and I'd like to think the Honda servicing and the RWC would lead to a good car.
I don't plan on power shifting and doing burnouts, Jasemas so I hope it'll survive well.

In that case get the manual tranny oil changed and maybe fuel filter.

Get it drained and filled
No power flushing bro :P

Honda seals are slightly too delicate for power flushing.
