Hey guys, I've got a sony amplifier in car, and everynow and den, the front speakers dat comes out from it stop workin (sometimes left sometimes right), and my quick solution of it is to turn the leds abit, and it will b fix for alittle while den happens again.... you guys think it's the leads problem or was there somethin wrong with my amp?? thanks heaps

forgot to also add sometimes need to unplug the RCA connection to the amp and reconnect them is also another solution.. the question is... what's da problem??? and is there any REAL solution to the problem? thanks
well if its only the front speakers turning off, then it is probably the wires to your speakers. But then it could also be your RCAs depending on how you have it wired up.
If you have other speakers hooked up to your amp and they arent going out then its one of the problems above. However if they are the only speakers that are connected to your amp it could be your earthing (i know thats my problem lol).
Try replacing your RCAs and speaker cables, as well as re-earthing your amp just to be sure.
1st thing is to check your earth.
check that the amp isnt going into protection mode.
check wire condition, for example if your wires are run through a door shut the insulation rubber may have split and be earthing out on a chassie point.
check your rca connections and remote wire.
this is a basic run down of every wire running to the ampso if its none of these its the amp itself giving you trouble which wouldnt be too bigger surprise with the amp being a sony item (no offense intended)
so wat do i do with the groundin? cause i didn't fit in the amp wat step do i do to check this...

i used to cop this as well, thought it must have been my seat covers lol. If you look at your amp follow the earth wire (if wired traditionally, will be black or grey wire). Make sure that where its earthed its getting full contact with bare metal. The firewall is a great place to do this.

Have you only got one pair of rca's going to the amp or 2 pair?
thirdly, does the back speakers cut out too?
ok need to make sure the earth is in full contact with metal surface of the car. usually best with a loop clamp on the wire end for better surface area contacting.
also to ensure a better connection is also better to scratch back the paint from underneath the loop for better contact.
the best places to install earth wires are on bare metal surfaces such as seat rails and bolsters or seat belt bolts etc
yep those are some of the best places, but make sure you scrape the paint off and bolt the earth down tight. I forgot to scrape the paint and its also a bit loose, aslo cuts out sumtimes.
Got 2 pairs both pair conded red and blue and the back speaker do not cut out because i think they connect the woofer the and front speaker to the amp while back to the headdeck..???? i dunno is dat ppl normally wired dem?
