hey guys i just picked up the d15b vtec for a decnt price ($395) and i had a few questions:
which dizzy's can i use on this engine?
which ecu would be the best? Obviously the p08 ecu but they are hard to find. I can source one from the states for a decent price but it's an auto one, does anyone in sydney do chipping?
i also know that finding a vti harness would be best but would any other harnesses work?
is it hard to add the vtec wires?
any help would be appreciated
no its not hard to add the Vtec wire and heated o2 wire
what do you exacly have and what car do you want to put it in.
the only VTEC D15 I know of is the D15Z1 VEi VTEC E for AUDM, what engine do you have.

i have the engine, alternator, no dizzy ecu harness
going into a breeze so i know about the carby to efi
Japan released a EG4 & EG8 Civic for Domestic Market only, with a D15B VTEC motor.

I have the same motor in my ED now. There was a post a few weeks ago with a guy who fitted this motor to his ED with the factory dual carbs too.
Very strong motor and basically, consists of a D15Z1 block, VTi pistons and head and 130Hp stock from a 1.5L.
I never knew a D15B would be VTEC.
I have a D15B7 engine, would that be vtec?

what i know of the JDM version of 1.5L VTEC is the D15B2 also known in the EG4 and EG8 which supposely a stronger engine then the 1.6L VTEC while producing the same amount of power even though its a 1.6L. Correct if wrong.
its not stronger. its got more compression and a wilder cam.
Whats the dizzy flange look like? look on hondata-tech and d-series.org these are pretty popular swaps.
The D15B VTEC motors do not have a designation after the 'B' not D15B7 or D15B2 etc
The Dizzy is a ODB1 type, so maybe an Si or VTi type Dizzy should fit? It has two connectors, one 2 pin and one 7 pin type... Does that help anyone identify it?
u can use any d series dizzy from the eg model should be the same have to be from a efi engine and computer u can use the d16b vtec computer would plug straight into your harnessi think its a p28 which is good coz u can modofy hondata to it to i did 1 conversoin already to a ed civic
