Hey people, i just blew my gearbox on my DC4 and i was just wondering if anyone on here would know of or have heard of anyone that has strengthened their box to handle the extra power that my engine is pumping thru it. Any help would be appreciated.

Nah don't transplant a box in mate, get yours re-built, depending on the severity of the damage you have done, should cost about $1700-2200 for a nicely built box that should handle 400-470hp quite easily. I got mine done in Adelaide for a little over $1600.
I was in your situation a while ago when i killed my box, at the time i wa considering boosting my car so i had the box beefed up a bit while it was out. A bit of overkill now that i've decided against it, but it is among the smoothest shifts i've felt!!
In your case i would also consider going auto with a gear set, they can take a lot more of a beating!!!!!!!!
the gearbox just went boom when i selected 2nd and now i got no gears. When i try selecting a gear the box just rattles like crazy inside.Quote:

yer but the gear ratios are all wrong for my application.
You should try to get a VtiR Integra or EK VtiR Civic box that would suit you alot better.Quote:
