Hey Guys
Wondering if any of you have mud flaps and are you happy with them.
As my Euro is black and have been doing some serious driving my car seems to get really dirty in no time at all.
Was wondering if mud flaps are really worth the purchase and if they help you alot ?
Also does anyone know how much a set are ?

I have the mud flaps. Got it thrown in with my purchase so I'm not sure how much it costs separately. They look good on dark colours such as blue, black and grey. On white and silver, they stand out.
The only caution I can give you is that the edge of the front mudflaps are a bit sharp and also tend to catch dirt and sand in between the mudflap and the paint. So if you don't wash it regularly, you'll get a line where the paint has worn off. One way to overcome it is to stick clear bra material on the mudflap edge so that it won't cut into the paint.
And yes, it does keep mud and road water off the side of your car.

clear bra material is used for those long trips away.....to prevent ur fronnt bar from little dings and dents from pebbles/little stones that could be kciked up when driving
i think autobarn should have somne? not sure but
apparently also keeps tar and stones from kicking up - I have them on silver and they don't stand out too much.
after what aaronng has said about them leaving the line I'm thinking they might be more trouble than they're worth. The clearbra tip was a good one though, thanks :)
mudflaps- one word- yuck hehe. removing them from my car was the 1st mod i did!
Yeah I agree they don't look great - the reason behind me getting them was becasue the stock kit on the euro doesn't flare out at all, it tucks in behind the wheel so I expect stuff can get kicked up pretty easily and damage the paint behind the wheels...Quote:

Haha, the mudflaps for the Euro are pretty small, so you can't see them. hehe... Here's mine. Try to pick out the mudflaps.

*shudders* mudflaps are up there on the list of "how to nanny up your car" with things like a headlight and bonnet stone guards, window weather sheilds, reflectors on the trailing edge of the door jams, number plate protectors, sunvisors, rear lovures, sheep skin seat covers/steering wheel covers/seat belt covers and those springy wire things on the bottom of your car that driving instructors have on their cars so ppl know when they are too close to a gutter when parking.
They all serve a purpose but damn I think its all ugly!
I'd be interested to know if mudflaps help reduce the car getting dirty.
In normal city driving I find the Euro gets dusty/dirty all over - rather than finding particular spots are dirty like the side of the car. I did find that claying and using NXT on the car actually helps to reduce the car getting dirty - dust and water seem to glide right off. eg - I washed the car on Saturday (clay, nxt), drove to and from work through the week including heavy rain on Tuesday - now looking at the car today it looks just like it did after the clean on Saturday.
Haha, the mudflaps let me fit in with all the grannies who drive Euros. Hehe. With mudflaps, they let me into their lane too!

just one advice before putting on mudflaps.
if you have lowered your car and intend to do it then I suggest you not to as from past experience it will bend the panels when pushed up against it. but this is for hard plastic type, not sure with those soft rubber types.
