Hey guys Im looking to buy a integra 96-99 either gsi or vtir or just in general c ars around that age mark, just wondering what would you guys classify as lows km's for these cars ? would anything more than 120ks be too much need some advice ? thx alot
The average km's done in a year is 10,000-12,000 or something so as long as its just under or around about what it should be for the year of the car. So say you were looking at a '96 model then (this is rough as hell working) 10 years x 12,000km = 120,000km's so in that way that amount seems realistic. Obviously the less the better lol but yeah to look at it realistically.
Well here's 3 that I know of, my brother's 96 has 134,000, Mugenman's 97 has 118,000, and my 99 has 86,000. Hope it helps.
Try www.redbook.com.au as they will list the average number of km's and the value of the years car.
thx guys for your help, but now what would be to many kms for a car that you would never consider buying from 97-99
I'd steer clear of a Honda with close to 150,000 as I've heard of many expensive repairs needed around then. But that may be mostly the Preludes with the extra gadgets that are the worst.

realistically.. average is around 15000-20000km/per yr
well i got my 99 vtir last yr for 88000km..
but yeh the less km's, the better. but jus cos a car has heaps of kms dont mean its gonna have incoming problems. jus depends on how maticulous the last owner was.
Hey guys thx for your replys,do you think its safe buying cars from car yards as opposed to private sellers ? I mean dealers are more likely to clock the ks back compared to a private seller or not necessarily ? and how is it car yards are more cheaper than private sales for integras I always thought it was the other way around ? what are your views guys ?
Before I bought my current car I was considering a gen 4 or 5, I spoke to my trusted mechanic and auto electrician and they said things tend to go wrong after about 150,000k, I understood these gadgets to be 4ws and power steering in particular, but I can't speak from personal experience.:)Quote:
