Battery creates power? Lol, you mean Alternator!! Check both of them though. Make sure the fan is connected so it turns on.
1: Check connections.
2: Check for rust or debris in the radiator, drain and pull off the lower hose and stick your finger in the radiator. Also a flow test to see if it has blockages. Just stick a hose in the upper inlet and turn it on full then see if it's draining fast or slow.
3: Check the thermostat. I bet you already did this and it's good!
4: Check the water pump. Time consuming and might not be a bad thing if it hasn’t been replace in a long time. Thought they can last many many years a part will go out when a part goes out. Also might be blocked with debris from the motor and radiator.
5: Have a pro check it out if none of this works. There’s a lot more I can tell you but I have been typing all day and my fingers figging hurt!!
