Aftermarket Headunit

The Jazz has an integrated head unit. But has anyone changed theirs? and what does it look like? Pics if possible please.

you have to mount yr HU else where. I am going to do that soon. It is not hard but I have to build a custom box for HU to store.

i seen ones in japan which go in the factory location, but they mount it on a different panel or something

The is a different panel that you can buy from Japan. You also need a different bracket. This will give you a standard double-DIN opening in the dash.

I have been struggling to find the part numbers, but there is one Jazz in Sydney that has done the switch-over. The parts cost about $250 and it took almost a whole day to change it over....

A job not for the faint of heart apparently.

oh... bugga. although i haven't tried it yet, i think the stock HU is not the best right? cos i wanna change it

To be honest I don't find it too bad at all and I have always had big systems in my cars...

I would like a different headunit simply because I have far more MDs than I do CDs, but there is an "AUX" button so I am guessing you can connect an ipod or whatever you want in to the back of it if you want to....

justin: do you know if the guy who did it is on these forums?

i would love to get those part no.s if anyone has them and if i ever do find them (one day . . . . ) ill post them up!!!
