Sand it down or clean it, and paint it.
Well this is how I did mine just a month or so ago. 1. Sand away all old paint untill gone then use some real fine sand paper. Second wash them with light soapy water then let dry in sun (try not to get grubby prints on them so best to wash your hands aswell). Third light coat of primer, 5 mins later a second heavier coat (or what ever the can specifys). Then I just did 2-3 light coats of satin black. Came up real nice for less than $20 bucks. I'm sure there are other ways on how to do this properly but this worked fine for me :)
thanks for the help! I was wondering though do i have to worry about getting paint on the rubbers?
I reckon just take them off. Take off the bolts then get a large flathead screw driver and put under the metal base of the wiper and twist it. Should come off quite easily
Edit: and yeah take out the rubber
I just sprayed mine a few hours ago with a DIY spray booth. If it's your first time... i can almost guarantee you'll have runs. And in a few months they're gonna be flaking/peeling.
Lmzo. Runs on spray cans. Lmzo!
Spray booth for spray cans Lmzo!
@op - remove all your wipers. Remove the rubber. Clean them and rub them
With grey scotch bight. Clean again and spray black... No clear required.
You know when you were a kid and played 'fort'? Sort of like that with cut/taped cardboard boxes and strings and chopsticks.
A spray booth can be made up of anything really as long as it's a sealed working area.
4 stakes with a clear tarp wrapped around it can be used as a booth.
Just depends how creative you are really.

haha sweet. Nah know what a spray booth is, just interested to know what a spray booth for wipers would look like....... Essentially you could use a big cardboard box then? =]
Doesn't it need light to bake the paint lol dat dere iPhone lightz
it uses gas. lol lightz.
charliebrown, you should make a DIY on how to setup a DIY spray booth, I wanna spray my car on the cheap.
DIY spray booth would save me a bit of money.
hey guys. i need to spray my rearview mirror, but i dont have a spray booth. pls help
To be honest... spray booth is not for everyone. You have to be baller and purchase lots of rims to have big boxes which is absolutely essential for assembling a spray booth.
Why would you paint a car? Just gonna get scratched/chipped again
I think Ive seen those
Heres a partially made temporary booth for example
