5AT:
Power 114kW @ 6200rpm
Torque 188Nm @ 4200rpm
Acceleration 0-100Km/h 9.9 secs
Kerb Weight 1290kg

The 5MT should be a bit quicker.
So it's not much diff to my FD1... I guess it's because the FD2 is about 80kg heavyer?
well the fd2 is slow, its mainly for leather, sunroof ,extra airbags option..
no one gets it because it is fast right?!
i did a run check on my fd1. completely stock, run with shell V-Power
2 person in car, half tank of fuel, on private rd, automatic, launch around 2500rpm, did a few run, and average time for 0-100 around mid 10s
10.s hrmmm seems kind of fast for an FD...
cant say my fd2 ran that on flat ground...
it was more like high 11's - 12's it is very sluggish but had
the car cause it looks amazing...haha
but then again my CTR looks like its from another planet :)
I personally found that in the FD1 AT it's fastest if;
a) Brake launch approx 2500rpm
b) As you launch slightly lift off accelerator until around 25-30km/h
c) Then push down more and engine should be around 6,200rpm
d) Lift off to let the transmission upshift
e) Then floor it again
If you did c)-e) at the right time, you'll know because the car won't downshift.
I take no responsibility if this stuffs up your car nor do I guarantee it'll achieve best results. Just my experience.
hmmm i tried on my fd1 manual 0-100 did arnd 8 if i wasnt mistaken.just did it last nite...musnt b good since the car is only 5 days old!hehe
^ automatic trany yO.
red lining it everytime at arnd 7K Rev
Can we list down ppl time on this thread so we can calculate the avg and stuff? :p
My car weighs and extra 100 KG from the 19" rims but will the CAI i think that evens it out.
I think i can do in the 7-8 second mark.
I have beaten my coz dc2 vtir which he is boosting now
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76677
And my friends 180sx turbo auto
Launch at 4500 rpm
FD2R 0-100 5.9sec
I saved a drag of the video on youtube
Search for civic 2006 vs 180sx
and you will find it
well my fd does 8..
motor magazine said so as well..
Civic VTi-L does 0~100 in 8 seconds and 10 seconds for auto
Sorry bodass the Fn2 does it in 7 secs...
Please dont hate the FDs
i would have to agree with bodass, with my wrx i would have been getting around 6.8secs
my s2k was in the 7sec relm and there is no way my civic could be getting newhere near there....even tho my civic is auto hahaha...
8-8.5seconds i would believe...
10seconds for an auto...damn thats slow...hahahah given the fuel prices lately i think i'll be getting there in 20seconds
you guys should know civics have light bodies and are known for their fast take offs.
S2000 @ 7 secs sounds abit panzy.... im sure i could get way lower then that
http://www.automotiveforums.com/t246265.html
s2k times
yeh...with the fuel prices....man its more like...how many Ks can u get out of ur tank..hehehe
hahah you prolly could, i crashed the s2k in northbridge on the 2nd day of taking delivery...after that i babied it...even going around round abouts on a rainday i would lose traction....was a bit hairy at times...
thats why i went back to the wrx, i could have been a bit crazy and wouldnt matter...
I think those asian ones on eBay are only good for the noise.
lol lets just say ur cai makes 10hp [(even though i highly doubt it)
http://www.injen.com/galleries/produ...1569_dynos.jpg that is some injen link i found where i can even read the dyno graphs because they are too blurry]
with ur "100 kg rims" (im pretty sure stock fd1 steelies without hubcaps lol are 18lb or ~8.2 kg each) which are 3 times heavier than stock and larger rolling diametre it will most probably not even be as fast as a stock fd and highly unlikely that it will run between 7-8 secs to 100, even with your awesome-o injen cai!
heck even if in my manual i wound my damper rates in my coilovers to hard as f*ck so there was maximum traction off launch, took out spare tyre, with my rims which are lighter than stock, simota cai, wider tyres with much better compound than stock i dont even think i can do that lol.
btw is urs mt or at?
Dont forget i got visors to inprove aerodynamics now and mugen pedals for the quick shift =)
Frost_FD i think your full of sh!t, the euro's barely pull out those numbers and yeah our car is heavier by 100kg but we got higher kw and torque. and i did watch that video of yours, its so blurry i didnt even know which car was which. from the looks of it the car on the right(civic) took off first might could be the reason why you won.
Frost FD... 7-8 seconds for a FD2 with 19" rims with CAI ??
thats extremely quick dude!...
thats real close to dc2r times! :D...
even the FN2R is slower than this =P
was driving home from sunshine yesterday.. I kept revving this s2k on the freeway.. revving..and revving.. and finally he just slammed on it.. lol.. fd1 has nothing on the s2k.. he was at least 2 - 3 seconds faster than me..the sound is just beautiful
FD's dont go under 10.
FN Can pull the 6-7
considering i have both cars...hrmm maybe slightly down hill FD will go under 10..
mum also has euro lux which is faster then FD but slower then FN which would prob do about 9s
i just timed mine then on my way home from work, crap launch with car full of junk and dodgy timing off mob phone, 9.24s
8 seconds stock on vtil as who ever quoted is impossible me thinks?
hahahah so does that mean im not that of a crap driver pulling 7's in my s2k.
i miss that car, the gearbox shits all over the cars ive driven including an STI....
one time i had a go with a soup up r33....the guy had such a big turbo that i would get about 1.5 car lengths in front of him until the turbo kicked in, by the time the turbo kicked in he had to gear change....9k redline...gota love it....
making me sad now
This guy got proof of 0 - 100 in 7-8 secs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbE7FXQz13g
Learn to change gears noobs
official time for dc2r is mid 7's, no way a fd1 will pull anything high 8's. mate unless you can prove that that car was stock (which u cant) then that video is useless...
I have a stock VTI-L, dun think it can be THAT fast... how I wish :P
That vid need to reveal more to prove I think, like, as point out earlier, it might be going downhill.
Frost_FD, getting 7-8 secs on a STOCK manual FD is very optimistic. Think about it, the FN2 can hardly do 6.6s and thats with 30KW extra power and lightweight flywheel etc. If you still insist on your numbers, let yourself get smoked by a stock auto FD with your 19" rims
I dont call that proof,
that could be downhill for all we know.
uhuh, thats not really "proof"
man even at optimal shifts, perfect launch etc i doubt my car will even get mid 8 to 9 seconds for 0-100 let alone 7-8 thats wrx territory as someone has said, i doubt ne fd stock or with minor mods will keep up with a stock wrx
Civic FD type T??? :p
Remember rk 86 wa i got a start button which puts my car in a racing class
civic type B for bullshit
remember, if you time against the speedo, allow for inaccuracy. mine indicates 107 when my GPS reads of 100kmh
if he can get mid 8s.. with bigger rims.. then i should be able to do low 3s... like what the murcielargo does?
im doing 60 when my GPS show 40. and I finish my turn and on straight line when my GPS show that I still in the middle of turning... cant compare with GPS device as well I think...
U didn't change ur rims and not correct ur speedo by any chance right?
I think Manual FD2 should be faster ~ coz the K20 engine...
i has smaller rolling diametre than stock with my rims and tyres?
btw yah i was running off what my gps says is 100 cause my speedo is off
Whilst optimistic speedo is one thing (discussed extensively elsewhere on these forums) whereby the factory speedo is already a bit unrealistically high as to make you think you're going faster than you actually are...
... tyre sizes and rim sizes which change will also have an effect on the accuracy if you do not adjust your speedo accordingly.
Refer to calc to see how far out you will be: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
hence the use of gps lol..
if ur stock limiter of 2nd will be at 102km/h
It took me about 10 seconds to reach 94kms on unleaded 91, AUTOMATIC.
High Octane 98 isn't available at the moment so i couldn't acheive best results. *Note* did some weight reduction, pulled out the spare tire from the boot.
As for Frost_FD, he only said he thinks he can do 7-8 secs. he didn't claim it. besides FD is pretty fast until the 3rd gear then its downhill from there. :(
is that idle + full throttle or throttle and brakes then release brakes launch tec?
rev til 2,500 then pedal to the metal all the way
