free rego, 5 year extended warrenty, 24/7 road assist is what your getting in a civic.
its always a massive sale, worth the look
there's always a reason for a sale :) I bet you can get a better deal for these 08 models when the new 09 version comes out soon
i could tell you the reason
but youll have to ask beeza, he knows ;)
no worries i had a better deal than that.
FN2 in auto?
I lol'd
hahahah UNLS1 working with the dealer so... he "might" know something that we dont :p jkz jkz
Aren't they flogging off all the old stock before the "face lift" version start arriving?
the FN2 CTR doesnt come in auto transmission
an explanation is needed....
lols im an idiot i thought it was FD2!
ME = MASSIVE FAIL and lol @ auto fn2r!
indeed, you shouldnt work at honda showroom
you should work at toilet cleaning service
So.. UNSL1 when can we expect the 09s to arrive and is that white LE likely to make it to our shores?
Also, any chance the boat carrying the cooking model civic hatches sinks?
i would say sometime in 09!
i wouldnt hold your breath on the white LE,
Big thanks to the OP for pointing out the Honda sale - I hadn't seen any advertising from Honda about it! I wasn't intending on purchasing a new car until late November at the earliest, possibly waiting until the refresh. But I saw this thread here yesterday, and decided to jump ahead in the schedule by a month.
Went down to the local dealership, and got a far better deal on a new FN2R than I was expecting. The salespeople just kept throwing stuff in! Honestly, I didn't even have to try :D which works fine me!
what did you end up getting with it?
whats the usual price anyway?
normally around 43k drive away but no accessories. with the deal he woulda got rego, stamp, delivery, extended warranty, and anything that his dealer threw in.
the sale has been real good. lots of people getting good deals
This is what I got
The special they have at the moment is including the following with the standard price of the car at 39,990:
12months rego & CTP
5 Year Honda warranty
24 Hour Roadside assist (not quite sure how long that lasts for though, will need to look into it)
Dealer Delivery and stamp duty
I got the car in Black with the following accessories:
Emblem Set
Accent Lighting
Floor Mats
Rear Parking Sensors
Lock Nuts Set
Plus I got the following as part of a "Six star protection package":
Paint Sealant
Fabric & Carpet Sealaant
Vinyl & Leather Sealant
Electronic Rust Modult
And had Window Tinting added to the package for free.
For the whole lot, they quoted $43,450. I signed the deal at $42,380.
Couldn't be happier :D
I didn't get the iPod cable cause its a rip-off, and I heard the bluetooth system is rubbish. I plan on replacing the head unit down the track to a satnav & bluetooth system anyway.
You reckon? I havn't seen anyone post any deals around that price...
suppose to be 39,990 drive away
Ok that is a very good deal :)
I wouldn't say I got raped though. It would have been cheaper too if i didn't get the protection packages (I saw no mention of such in your post...)
Either way, I'm happy with the price as its much less than I thought I was going to get. Oh and hello I'm new here :D
Yeah I edited my post. It was a bit harsh. :(
Again, no offense but dealer protection is pretty much snake oil, mate. Go for Ozi Cozi if you want real protection - 6 months and no stone chips on protected area.Quote:

And my advice is get it done the day you drive it home. FN2 paint chips just by being looked at. :thumbdwn:
good luck to changing ur headunit. if ur planning on ways to completely remove the stock headunit, i'd really like to hear of ur progress. i took mine apart today to install the dension GW300, installation went fine, it charges my iphone but i get no response from the headunit, and im already so frustrated. and i would possibly need to take it apart again to fix it when the replacement kit comes in.
