Hi guys I'm looking lower my 04 euro. I have decided to go with eibach pro springs, but am still considering the shocks to match them with. What in your experience will have a better ride quality, Koni or Bilstein?
And do they make a Bilstein comfort for the euro?
Any feedback will be much appreciated
Someone recommend me bilstein if your looking for comfort. No personal experience.
Bilstein > Koni. Just personal preference really.
No personal experience with these shocks in a Euro, but I did find this after some quick research:

never sat in a car with bilstein but i have the koni yellows n they are pretty comfortable as you could adjust the stiffness of the shocks.
Driven both, preferred the bilsteins.
Konis are more comfy.
aarong when you say you prefered the bilsteins.....in what way did it feel better than the konis?
They felt more compliant. It would absorb up bumps well while maintaining better handling than stock. The Konis, I didn't change the damper setting, so it might not have been optimal. But I felt that the Bilsteins were better in terms of comfort compared to Koni.Quote:

Ive heard the CS are very cofortable and comparable to stock. Maybe if the price is similar, that could be an option s4029768?
PS. I have tein ss and i cant feel a major difference from stock :p
SS feels like stock on roads, but when you come across narrow metal speed bumps like at Bunnings, you will feel the difference between SS and stock.Quote:

I had Bilsteins on my Escort RS2000. They were great. I experienced Konis in a Ferrari, which came standard with them. They were great. But I preferred the Bilsteins and I do believe that they are technically superior because of their monotube and separated high pressure gas construction. I remember the ride was constant no matter how long the drive. It did not soften-up with heat.
I have an eibach pro kit with Bilstein shocks in my car at them moment. and i have sat in a car with eibachs and konis, so in terms of 'comfort', koni is much more comfortable.
NOTE: this comparison is between bilstein 'sport' shocks with no damper setting so it is quite firm.
the konis yellows was also set at the firmest level as well.
In terms of handling however, that is a different story.
Your car is not a CL9 Accord, so you can't really compare comfort and handling. :)Quote:

Tony1234 and i have almost the same set up, but i have the koni shocks and he has the bilsteins and i have the spc camber kit and he has the eibach kit.
I've currently got eibach prokit springs and bilsteins in my CL9.

Would recommend over koni as i have also had eibach and koni in my previuos car.
Alot better ride and also better handling IMO with the Bilstiens.:thumbsup:

well, intension is just to replace the shocks.. So, ride height will stay more or less the same. Wondering if the car will ride smoother with bilsteins
I dont think you will lose ride height. The height should be reduced with the springs and not the shocks.Quote:

Eibach and Bilstein should be slightly stiffer than your stock FD suspension.Quote:

Thanks Aaronng! Checked my tyre pressure today and it was at 35psi front and rear, changed them to 32psi and noticed a big difference, much more comfy than before when I could felt every tiny rocks on the road... Thanks alot!
Well after i installed Tein S tech lowered springs on my car....noticed a big difference in handling....turn in is a lot better and big difference in handling but it keeps hitting on the bump stops everytime i go over a slightly deep bump...looking for shocks to suit...prob bilstein would be good but i have been researching and koni yellow shocks seem to have the best compatibility with tein springs...and the handling is close to coilover performance but the ride is less comfortable...well guess theres either handling or comfort...honestly i think if you just change the shocks..the handling wont be affected much as the spring rates are still the same...just bounces more or less? :P
