Just want everyones opinion
Should i leave it stock or bog it up?
bog it up, it shud make ur car faster
scientifically proven to add 5kw on the dyno
whatever floats your boat man
Depends if you want something slightly different or standard and just sprayed over
i want to bog it cos it will look different, but some people reckon it will be hard to sell.
who said that? name him
trust me his loaded he can bog up a ferrari if he wanted
u shouldnt bog it has to be welded up
so far every1 says to bog it up
temped.....
yeah shave the whole thing like the eg on OH last months calendar
at this point
70% im gonna bog it up
hey man dont bog it or weld it on my friends car in certain light u can see where it has been welded before imo leave the moulds
leave them stock imo
if you have the money.... dip them in chrome!
or gunmetal, whatever colour your rims are.
just my 2cents.
i say colour code them to the car and forget about them :)
bog it up welding take too long
i leave my side mouldings.... save my moms car everytime i get in & out of the civic.
mine r welded fibreglassed n bogged.
i did it myself n i got lazy sanding it.
my doors were warped already so wast too fussed.
but i have no mouldings or slots but keep 1 thing in mind
if u fill em in make sure u shave the insides of them becasue they touch if u dont and will crack or chip your paint.
nice man
u got any pics?
Don't forget also that if you bog then you will have to repaint the whole thing, or do a really good colour match/blend. If you are still trying to figure it out id sugest painting your mouldings to match your car. You would still change the look ie. blend in more, and then you could chose to go either way :)
Colour matching isn't that hard if you know what your doing.
True I guess, but... paint is expensive no? I just would have though before he does something drastic that he should try something simpler. It wont affect anything he choses to do in the long run thats all.
LEAVE IT STOCK!
haha
im gonna respray the whole car neway, so i can do either
Ok then since you are going to re-spray I would say do as you wish. Just have a good think because you don't want to regret what you do later on. Personally I dont like shaved mouldings... But if it floats your boat then go for it! :)
Shave your locks while your at it :P
u guys reckon it will look good?
Planning to fibre glass it then bog it on the surface
just get them color coded,
with it shaved, like my old accord, some kids in other cars open door and BAM, big dint :)
hit the side mould, moulds have dint not the actual skin of the door :)
which one is cheaper to fix vtec1987? did on body or just side mouldings?
i rather a cheaper option, cause think about it, something u wanted going wrong every week :)
wth,
people bang ur doors everyday ?
well u do get it, if u park in parking lots where alot of people who doesnt give a rats ass,
but then again my 2 cents, no offense intended
looks good tho without the moulds
Do moldings even line up the same on every different car?
im actually planning to keep mine, but colour match. I take it all thats needed is a good sand, some plastic primer, paint and a clear coat? Shouldnt be too much work =/
as for you, if you are going to respray the car, I'd got for the shaved look...go on, bog it up (but do it right, weld first!)
