what car? I had mugen suspension on my dc5 before
car is EK. but that doesnt matter how did they feel in comfort and handling on your dc5? did it make your dc5 lower?
What coilovers ya using outatime?
Just curious.
Mugen sports suspension for a DC5 is a spring and damper package and it lowers the car by an inch or so I think, Tofu will confirm.
Are the mugen dampers you are talking about for EK the 5 way adjustable dampers or the non adjustable sports suspension that includes lowering springs? Part number 50000-XGE-K0S0 for the non adjustable and 50000-XGER-K0S0 for the 5 way adjustable dampers. Both lower the car by 20mm according to the mugen catalogue from EK4 and EK9 height respectively.
I believe both probably use OEM damper housings with modified mugen spec valving and different springs.
ffs
get ek9 springs and shocks aris.
haha but they're too hard to find. okay i'll put them on my signature.. :P
btw rob said he can modify my car as long as it's mugen! lol
I don't read JDM but these are the catalogue scans that I have and they suggest that both come with lowering springs. The numbers in the second column appear to be spring rate compared to stock in kg/mm and the final column appears to be lowering amount in mm.

omg that's great! thanks! +1 for you! :D
The Kontrol Pro Damper - AUD $995.00 delivered.
sounds really good, that's what I'm getting. It's the closest to a comfort comfortable coilover + it has 32 damper contol control. For da track.
They sound like the best of both worlds that I could find.
Do it Aris.
really! are you talking about this - comes with adjustable camber?
sounds good too.
I got two pics here that shows how low the Mugen sport suspension made my dc5
The white one is on the Mugen the blue one is on TeinSS coilovers
these mugen sport suspension are softer than the TeinSS for the dc5
think they were 5.5k front and 7.9k
Tein are around 6k front and 9k rear or something like that.
not bad at all! damn what a baller! 2 teggies, a mini, and a bmw! :p
haha that's not a golf, it's the bmw 120i
comfort i much prefer the mugen, but for a bit of fun definitely the TeinSS
I don't own that white DC5 anymore
yeah just realized and edited my post! lol
Although I am a firm believer in quality and brand reputation; K-Sport overall look like the best non Japanese/European manufacturer you are going to find, they have a very very extensive range and are very popular. Their brake kits at the very least suggest they're half decent. Even though they are most likely rebadged...they couldn't be too bad.
Manufactuers in their position wouldn't be able to get too far if their products were all useless. Their profit wouldn't be able to cover warranty claims.
Don't forget alot of the big brands now are switching to taiwanese manufacturing for their lower end models.
That's them outatime.
For sure man. It's the 'normal' way.Maximise profits etc (offcoarse)
They haven't got the name 'Tein' or whatever but from my research they come up trumps.
I haven't had them or tried them but I would not say this unless I felt confident in the product.
Jase ( JasonGilholme ) has them.
Tein SS are too soft for the track and the next tein's up are too hard.
Other brands I looked at all seem too firm for a daily.
That's what my car is a daily + Track sessions (soon)
