where can i buy 0w-20 or 0w-30 synthetic oil? and what brand?
0w-20? too thin man........summer is coming.....look for good oil for Vtec engine? It got to be Motul 300V........
hey what do u guys recommend. mobile or motul?
motul... 10w-40 300v
mobil is a little bit over rated... but then again so is motul... but i have better results from motul oils.
oil recommendation has been discussed before in the technical section.
do a search ;)
and spoon fit - your local repco, autobarn, etc. would sell these oils mate
Mobil 1 is around $65
How much is Motul?
Motul Turbolite 10W-40 is about $45
using motul 8100 here, 5w-40. the thing is you can only find them in autobarn, and usually the price is higher there. cost around $60++
it's expensive so it must be good!! :D
*sarcasm*
Just get Castol R oils 0-30w is only like $40-50  and does a better job then Mobil 1
thin oils goes black really quick like 2-3000kms. Personally Castrol R = quality and price for me :D
All oils go black after awhile........in fact i'd preffer my oil black so I know its doing its job.
Another option is Honda FEO
kmart oil is pretty good i reakon
thx...i think i will get Castol R oils 0-30w
tried the castrol formula r 5w-30, like others said it get dirty real fast, be expect to change oil every 2.5k~ 3k. and notice the gas mileage wasn't as good when using mobil 1 or motul.
if you can stretch the budget, get mobil 1 or even motul.
what? that does'nt read correctly...you are saying go and spend more, and achieve worse fuel economy?Quote:

In The End it really doensn't matter what oil you use as long as it is close to factory recommend and serviced every 5000km with any oil you can't go wrong...........with any car
probably the case now you point that out...funny how one word missing can completely change the meaningQuote:

gas mileage is better while using mobil 1 and motul, but worsen when using castrol

Hi guys,
I looked on the Motul website and it seems like their oils are used for racing. I assume that is why they are a lot better? (more endurance etc.)
cheers.
Motul 300V 10w40. Suit honda in Australia!!
motul 4100 turbolight can be used for 4cyl and does the job that is what i am going to use once i swirch over at 10000km ....300v is really good stuff if you take you car on track regularly but cost a fortune. i personally don't think it's necessaryQuote:

isnt Honda OEM oils terrible?Quote:

Spoon fit..... let us know how the car feels after changing it.....
how many litres do u need for jazz?
engine oil 3.4l
cvt fluid 3.2l
Motul is so expensive, can't afford it
need to wait for those 20% off deals :D
How much does 4 litres of the CVT tranny oil cost at Honda?Quote:

How much is 1 litre of CVT oil?
$14.52 Inc GST
Car's only done 18000kms, but I changed the oil at 5000intervals and let the dealer service it at 10000. I'm using Honda FEO. But after 20,000 when its fully run in I was thinking of using Shell Helix Ultra 5w40. Its the oil I use in the lude. Anybody has experience with this?
