Hey guys

It's ok, (Hondata is better)
It's pre tuned & cannot tune itself except for long term fuel & knock trims.
Works well with all Mugen parts.
Not recommended for cam changes.
Put a post up in wanted to buy section... You should find one on here for a good price.
thanks for the info.....
was thinking to go either hondata or mugen....but i know u need a race license to purchase the mugen.
old thread but..
are there two versions of the N1 ecu?
Yes it is....there is mugen Street ecu which rev to 8600rpm and Mugen N1 which rev to 9200rpm...Both of the Vtec change over at 5200rpm...race team usually use the 8600rpm one for long race and N1 for short race......They are generally about 1k-1.2k 2nd hand........about 1.8k brand new.....not sure about the price now since the exhange rate is so bad......in order to install it in audm DC5R you need to bridge a wire to your immoboliser or it won't start......also you will see the little green key light keep flashing....just ignore it........or you can pull the little green plug off behind the steeling wheel.....hope that helps..
Is there a Mugen ECU for 2005 Type S models?
Yeah...they are the same....
Sweet gonna have a look for one.
Thanks!
btw mine is the 8600rpm one obviously!
Dont suppose you've plugged it into a 2005 DC5 Type S model before? Havent been able to find anywhere on the net about Mugen ECU (02-04) and a 2005 model....
not a type s sorry. a dc5r yep and it is quite noticeable over stock!
I am not sure how different a type s is from a type r. If i had to guess then i would say they would be pretty much the same. see what u find and if you are interested just let me know.
shame there is none available for EP3R
pm me if anyone wants to sell
I never find one that is applicable for EP3 anywhere. so not sure. the one for DC5R, Mugen actually recommends to change the valve spring as well (or is this the one for the N1 spec?)...so really not sure about running with stock internals when I can use that for my EP3.
i have used it fine for over 3 years now. stock motor apart from toda pistons. i'd say the n1 spec u would want higher spec valve springs perhaps. As for running it with an ep3, i would have thought that as long as u can plug it in then it would work. they are made for the K20A motors, not specifically for integras or civics etc.
ok im a little confused here? are you guys all saying that the mugen n1 k20 ecu cannot be used in a type s? I am also confused as to why hondata is being mentioned?
There is one available for EP3R. Username (nvdvtc) bought his EP3R with a Mugen ECU and is selling it. Give him a buzz if interested guys.
anyone does a diy guide to change mugen ecu back to stock? because toda has welded some wire together for the immobilizer or something. how do i undo it?
