are there seat covers for recaros? where can i get them?
Thanx in advance
seat covers generally fit all seats, in some way or another, but if ur talking about those really hugging ones , frmo my understand no there are no seat covers, FOR recaros
id suggest u just get a throw over,
you miss the recaro 'blingage' so to speak, but u still get the fit while protecting ur recaros
yea there are some recaro seat covers, on US ebay
whats the point of having them
makes the car look cheap and ugly
unless the seats are mint cond or u got a show car
why hide them ?
maybe so people don't break in and steal them then sell them on ebay or ozhonda lulz
I put seat covers on mine as well. so that they don't fade out and look like sh*t
I use throw overs because I dont want them dirty.
If I have to help someone out and I get filthy id rather a clean seat then it to have the recaro bling
You can get them HERE
Although it seems a little exxy!! haha. I really wouldn't mind one myself tbh.
i posted a topic on this a while ago.
that is the site of the place, but this is there ebay store.
you can get them in black or white.

for a second time, deserves a rep :p:thumbsup: lol
I beat you to it in this thread. No rep for you :p
Gay!!!
nah i repped you. dw, you drive a black honda, id rep you again but i cant lol~
if i had recaros i would need slip on covers for on my way home from work as i'm usually coverd in swarf and hydraulic fluid
so since starting my new job i've put them on the back burner
if you drive your car daily it's probably worth to put a cover on and maybe take it off during the weekend or a cruise or something...
And most people if not all people get type R recaros for the looks and no point hiding them all the time, and you are serious about racing you'd get something more hardcore...
In reguards to why would you want to cover them...
yeah well maybe you might work on a construction site and when u jump in ur honda at the end of each day ur dusty, dirty and with sh!t in ur pockets and you dont wanna get ur gorgous red seats all yucky. Then you can take off the cover that nite for some blingage out on the town.
thanks 4 the link btw ;)
thanks guys. no need to argue about why, i was just asking if they're available and where.
Thanks for the ebay link VTECMACHINE
seat covers keep police off ur case :D
prob the best investment u can get, I'll be running some dodgy looking ones with mine thats forsure :D
and plus all it'll take is one mate who is ethier covered in shit, catching a lift in the rain or youve just been to the beach to stuff up recaros nice finish
just get throwcover.. it should be fine.
i just ordered 2 from ebay, just generic one.. no brand.. is cheaper ahahaha
the reason why i really want them because i cant stand my recaros getting damage from daily commuter lol.
let u guys know when i got them..
I might get some now... lol!
You think it would look weird just having one fo drivers side??
Always wanted red seats... maybe I should get the red ones?? Or should I be stealth and get black?
do the seat covers cover the whole seat? front sides and back? is it like a slip on thing
:D
Slip on thing.
Shit... now I want to buy a new right side bolster and material! You can like rebuild recaros quite easily.
Does anyone know how to take the boltster out?
Kind of, off topic - but kinda on topic as we are talking about recaros.
I found this, which runs through how to change a bolster on a recaro
it's a sweet link... but it still looks hella hard to do!
Question is, is it worth the hassle?? I'll have my car for ages... so I might do it.
im defs looking at doing it ay.
but since im not driving atm not yet. ill do it when they get completely worn, but i hate the feeling of a perfect bolster on the left and a soft low one on the right
if ya do it before me, let me know, jus in case you found some ways to do it a bit easier.. and ill do the same
I don't know if i'll be able to do this myself though tbh. lol. I get frustrated with touchy stuff like this. Really considering it though, ey!
does the boltster have to be taken out in order to install the seat cover???
no seat covers are slip on
the capitalseating guys have a pdf guide on how to install the bolsters and stuff too if you buy the parts off them
who sells the bolsters in qld anyhow? or would I have to call recaro
sorry for the hijack, just saves me making a thread is all, lol
Nice one Lan!
" your just a dreamer and a tight ass " that sums most of my life up haha.
However ive spent a record amount of cash on my car of late and its looking good
That includes some nice red seats( Got it back on topic ) :P
Im glad you got ur answer LiKPiC, now this has just turned into an awesomely heated thread xD
<3
Wanna be ? I was weighing out my options with the EG3 as I got it for cheap and it was seeing if it would work out cheaper then getting a GLi/VTi/Si.
I have owned all EG's besides the Si, if I wanted a injected so bad I would just go and buy one.
You sure are the defensive one aren't you ? Having to resort to other things to prove a point about 1 thing haha. Good one.
The standard EG seats are comfortable as far as I am aware, much more comfortable then ALOT of other stock seats. I'm no boy racer either so I wouldn't need bucket seats for a car that would never ever see the track.
Normal throw over seat covers from autobarn, supercheap etc. Wont fit recaros!!!! They are too tight and it wil feel like sitting on a trampoline, they dont fit over the bolsters!!
Heres what they look like fitted

The preserve the seats quite well
they do.
are they your covers man?
i jus wonder if they make you slide etc, and how the material feels since its um..cant remember what material it is lolll
help in the general wear and tear at all?
thats the only reason id want them.. i dont get in my car dirty.
My recaros are probably as clean as they get besides brand new ones
Iv e had these between 2 -3 years now and my seats havnt changed a bit :)
No black marks
prevents the black mark of seats belts and for those who wear jeans prevents that stain
Seats are still firm (not that the seat covers help with that)
Now that material will let through liquids , but dirt and stuff it wont
It zips right down the back of the seat and its still easy to lift the latch when bending your seat forward for passengers
i see.
they sound alright. considering them, but might also change my bolsters.
Wow... what happened to this thread LOL.
Alright, here is my input... I love my seats and all, with them constantly hugging me and loving me back - But they hela f**king uncomfortable for long drives. I'd prefer cheap ass EG seats for the drive to Wakefield. :)
Meh, make do with what you got. If you like recaro's... then awesome for you.
Back on topic... those covers are cool... I'm going to get me some :) Might get the bolster and crap too, ad make them look new again! w00t!
Question... do that ALWAYS shine like that... like with the sunlight and all, or is it just the flash at night?
the only thing stopping me from buying new bolsters.. they will once again wear and go soft :(
back to seats tiksie~
how are his seats overpriced. ? and how does having recaros in a eg6 make it itr wannabe.
~please answer, would like to know.
Guys calm down. LOL.
But yeah... balls, i'm going to add to this debate! Yeah I would like to know how having Recaros in an EG is ITR wannabe. Recaro's are in heaps of cars. So are you saying, a plane, a lambo, an Evo are all ITR wannabe's?
What does it mean if an ITR puts in say a bride?
Are you saying that you would not put any type of bucket seat in your EG? Or just recaro's?
oh boy lol
dc2r seats, wheel, interior, motor... You tell me ? Hahahaha.
I like doing things to my car myself, not getting other people to do it.. Don't know about you mate haha.
Keep running your mouth man hahaha, your still a wanker.
Because you know so much about the cars I've owned eh ?
You can have thousands of dollars put into your car, but at the end of the day, it's just a Civic hahahahahahaha.
so everyone on ozhonda who has done that is ITR wannabe,?
he doesnt have type R badges, or claims anything like civic type R either lol. and iam sure if he sold his car straight up he would have enough to get itr, so i dont really think the guy is wannabe.
man you need to grow up aye. just because he has nicer car, doesnt mean you have to shoot him down.
all those mods you metioned are just comon mods because everything fits. if shit from the nsx fitted into a EG civic trust me everyone would do it.
If you pay attention, I never said anything about his car initially.
He had to be a wanker about everything when I said I would get Recaros for what they do, not how they look haha, I didn't stretch this whole thing out hahaha.
I couldn't give 2 shits what people say on OzHonda but yeah ? Neither should anyone else haha.
well you got fake te37s for how they look didnt you ? not what they do. because real te37 would do the job way better ?
If you had a read in the replica vs real thread you would realize that they would do the same job at the end of the day.
If I wanted wheels that would do something, I would go get light weights hence being a terrible comparison.
I think its awesome that people use DC2R stuff in EG's and other cars. After all they are based off the same chassis'. If you can upgrade stuff, why wouldn't you? At least he's doing it the legal way, by using ADR OEM approved parts off stock Honda's. Much easier and smarter imho. Respect to LAN90
How do you know the fake TE37's do the same job as the real ones? Have you xrayed both the real and fakes, and seen that they are of the same structural quality?
You have got to be joking by saying they do the same job, because they clearly do not. Isn't the job of real TE's to be light / rigid and strong... and your's are much heavier probably being a cast iron rim or something, instead of a forged aluminium. Just feel the difference... they clearly aren't the same thing.
recaro seats arent adr in all Honda cars, you still need a mod plate to put recaros in an eg or ek that came with stock oem honda seats
they have to be engineered and require a mod plate to be used (in QLD, prob other states and territories) :D
or prepare the bengay and pull out the bank notes :D
Yeah I just went through engineering. You can use stock parts and throw them into other cars. Cops will not say much. However, to engineer an ADR approved part is very easy, and costs very little (well here in NSW anyways) - rather than engineering brides and the likes. ADR approved parts, and actually OEM parts are looked at slightly differently. OEM are generally totally fine, cos they came out of a stock Honda. For an EG, where the chassis is the same as the DC2R, it's no problem at all really. Using an aftermarket ADR approved seat is slightly different, because it hasn't been engineered to that specific type of car / model / brand etc.
I was assuming that hisoka was comparing it in a structural way which would indeed be different and more light, but why would I go out of my way to get light weight rims on a car that will never see the track ? Hypothetically speaking if no one realized this.
I know you track your car and what not, but there are so many cars that are race prepped which never see a track.
It's like comparing oranges and apples and a preety much never ending subject.
This thread has turned into a 'mine is bigger then yours' style debate haha.
<3 OzHonda.
Not at all. I'm not talking about track or street driving or anything, it's besides the point.
What I am saying is fake rims, will never be close to the quality and functionality of real rims. There are more pot holes and bumps etc on the street than the track, which can impact your wheels in a big way. I think it's more important to run the real deal on the street, as forged aluminium wheels will buckle (which is safer), not crack and snap and crap like cast iron.
Anyways, JDM style tuning, is a "style" of modifying a car. If people want to spend the money on "overpriced", or bling parts, for the street or track - then so be it. No need to be a hater. I love track prepped car that are on the street. It's hardcore! hehe. Touge is where all these parts originated and were initially developed - so these things are good to run on the street, if you are into those sort of things.
