Hi Guys,

I do have a set of stockies lying around if you are interested......I reckon its ur shocks are done......and for 1.6k...you can get something like Tein SS already which is good for daily and occational track.......pm me if you need any further assiatant bro....
As said sounds like your shocks are gone.
Buy parts yourself -
If your not game enough to install parts yourself try -
Get Benjamin from the forum to install;
he'll prob install it for you at a good price.
When you say they bounce dangerously alot do you mean as in they are quite firm or too soft? It's hard to understand cos you say it bottems out going on and off speed bumps with stock springs yet you say the car has eibach's fitted now and it's added more harshness. Bottoming out means the suspension is fully compressed which means that either the shocks are rooted (as stated by others) or your hittin the speed bumps too fast.
If on the other hand you mean the suspension is quite bouncy and hard, dc5r's are known to do that. They are quite bouncy from the factory. I guess it's part of the Type R feel???
You can get a good set of 2nd hand coil overs for that price! have a troll around....you'll find it :)
yeah mine bounce a lot too!!! mine is only 16,000 km DC5R, obviously still considered new, right? I guess it is the Type R feeling.... my friend's FD2 type R is even worse, much harsher than our DC5 R...
by the way i got KING SPRING with stock shock... and sometime i have been hearing stange noise, like clunking or humming.... is it normal?
by the way i am thinkin of getting TEIN / TANABE adjustable COIL OVER, cost around USD 1,100.00 in Jakarta. is it a good deal? brand new
hey mate, sounds like a shock problem, i had the same problem when i was on a shock/spring combo. so i upgraded to coilovers and it goes nice. you should check on the forums, get some decent 2nd hand coilovers for around the 1k mark.
Just thought id let u guys know whose interested in getting some Koni yellow Adjustables.
I spoke to wholesale suspension yesterday and they quoted me $410 a pair for the fronts and $430 a pair for the rears. I also got quoted $290 for labour just to install the fronts.
thats a pretty good price considering the current economic period.
usually its around $1000 without install.
labour is a bit much... if you're in sydney, get benjaminn to do it for you.
