Unfortunately my air freshener leaked all over the headunit and stained the grey part of the unit. It also took abit of paint off it while i was trying to rub it off.. it looked like crap.. with black smudges everywhere so i decided to spray it matt black..
here are initial photo's.. it's still drying at the moment, so i'll post up final photo's later..

lol mine got leak from air freshener too, went to Honda, they quote me 5.5k to change the air vent - navigator touch screen facer, now awaiting for the cheque from the company, ge'ez these air freshener r so dangerous, u should of contact them in order to compensate like mine n aarong case
finished product... made a couple fumbles.. by peeling the tape off the buttons and then spraying another coat without realising i had peeled the tape off.. lol (left buttons)

you'll still notice the stain around the headunit.. dammit.. any idea's on what will get rid of it?

Dealer was probably trying to rip you off. All that needs changing are the two plastic face plates. The radio/CD player/Climate control behind it is swapped over.Quote:

Yea, that stain ... might sounds a bit dodge, perhaps try sand it with really fine paper? but that could make it worse too

Geez your car must be full of black dust doing it inside the car :D...
I did Atjo's respray by removing the panel out of the car, easier and cleaner me thinks....
Good job though for your work!
hahahahha no black dust.. lots of newspaper.. and covered my seats with a cloth... and held newspaper to cover the black from getting onto windscreens.. so turn out not bad.. quite happy with it.. might do it silver next time if it starts to peel..

looks good i'd perfer a stain headunit over a cracked faced headunit like mine. Thinking about leaking some freshner on it.

nahh it is man.. its the model above ours with the nav built in.. it comes with this little slot thing for a clock and stuff at the top

U can't change the cover for satnav, it'll come with the satnav screen cost u about over 5k, if u want to know more pm me
why do people use air fresheners in their car anyway? i've never had one in any of my cars and they always smell fine.
Maybe people need to drive with their windows down more often. Fresh air yO! fressshhhhhhhh!

nah no issues.. was quite careful.. and had clothes to cover seat and steering wheel.
