hmmm. doesnt seem too different from the gen 2. i like it and would consider trading up for the new one!
that looks really nice i find it looks alot more aggresive then the new honda's. Would definately look into a trade for one of these
Holy crap, that is gorgeous. I'd definetly buy that if if it the real deal, and came to Aus :D
the pic of the wallpaper looks heaps better but it really looks like a DC5 front...mmm...looks good i must say! CRX reborn
they've been talking about this for ages.... bet ya it doesnt happen....
The wallpaper pic is a photochop of a newer civic
There will be no new crx.
i hope they just make a million more generation 2 crx's to celebrate the crx
dont change a thing
HOT!
Sizling!!!!
looks soooo photochopped!! the back window and wedge bit look fake
look out the window... pigs can fly!
Every now and then we hear about the new CRX... but it never happens. Personally - I really like the one in the wallpaper - the 1G/2G CRX shape was a classic... that got ruined by the Del Slow 3G ;)
BTW - it's a photochop.
i like...
but the wallpaper thing looks kinda wrong...
nah.. doesnt look agressive enough for me!
the headlights look too cute,
we need lights like the Odyssey or accord euro!
looks sick!
that's hot as :honda:
i think the wallpaper used this car as a base... just used a different pic of it
http://importtuner.com/features/0304it_mugen02_z.jpg
i like the one in the article better.. is that one photochopped too??
wallpaper looks heaps nice.... even though its photochoped, nice is nice who cares :D
you can tell its a honda crx just by looking at its shape...
but yeh wouldnt mind seeing a mod with the odessey front
Let's hope that they are NOT made in UK!
cant be bothered reading the whole thread so ill just post this, this article is dated late 2003
http://www.streetracersonline.com/articles/crx/
yuk lol
that wallpaper looks deformed !!
cant believe anyone can actually think thats nice
very sexY! me wants
Damn that looks HOT ! Gotta get me one of those to go next to my Euro :D
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA
this should be in the lounge, not news!
what a load of shit.
looks good but what a load of shit, like they will ever make the crx again... even if it was made it would prolly not even look like a REAL crx (gen2 baybee! :D) it would prolly end up lookin worse than the del slow. either that or they'd turn it into grandma's shopping wagon.
even if it was made i doubt it would get an aus release the way honda aus is heading atm
still i guess its nice to dream for a sec i guess :D
where is honda heading? seriously... :(
I'd love to see a new CRX
In order for it to be a genuine CRX - It HAS to be a 2 door liftback, 2 seats only (OK, 2G CRXs had rear seats in japan, but meh), it MUST be light - and I mean LESS than 970kg (w/out options), has to be hardtop, have a potent 1600cc engine (OK, it can have a K24 if it must.....), and drive like your mother's worst nightmare
correction...900kgs or less :D
why stick with 1.6L?
i'd go with 1.8 or even 2.0 for that lil bit more power :D (but thats just me)
Ummm... the EF8 and EE8 weigh 986kgs minimum (no optional ABS/sunroof etc)... by your criteria they're not a CRX :DQuote:

who needs al l that metal?
CF y0!!!!! ;)
lol - a CF 'rex... cool :)
I just looked up my EE8 brochure - it lists it as 905kgs - sans the goodies the JDM had such as sunroof, abs etc.
Aussie Civics and CRXs are lighter than their JDM equivilent and the low spec (DX) USDM CRX and Civics are even lighter. I know the Aussie ED6 Hatch is only 900 odd kilos (wighed my old one on a weighbridge a long time back - while my EF9 is 1030(!!!). Just as well I don't have ABS to weigh it down as well as everything else. My guess the weight diference for the Civics is in the motors and sunroof of the EF9. Not sure on the Aussie rexs as some came with sunroofs.
Hmmm... titanium and CF CRX anyone? ;)
I think this is a type R civic. On a recent holiday in the UK I saw a few of these civics with Type r badging. It had standard type r red recaro seats and 16 inch wheels. Pretty hot looking car if you ask me, dont understand why they dont relese them in oz.
its a photoshop fool -_-
looks like a very chopped DC5 Teg....I do like it but....
Cost is one issue - the other that is the fact that in order to be part of Honda Australia's sales/marketing team, you must have both testicles removed while simultaneously reciting the mantra "CRV good, sports hatch bad"Quote:

Now that looks mean =)
wow - I love it!!!! Sign me up 4 two!!!! :)
looks like a cross between a lexus and one of those ford laser lynx things that tried to rip off the gen2 crx hatch but failed miserably :D
but nice photoshop, wish i could do that shit.... guess practice makes perfect
Yeah ive been waiting for the return of the Crx. Read a couple articles about it. This one seems to be one i havnt seen b4 tho.
It looks quite nice, but not as good as the other artist conceptions that i have seen.
I like how it looks similar to the gen 2!!
photochop ver i like... cept for the dc5 lights... should try with civic ones
i agree...the front looked way too bulbus...
In articles a year or 2 ago, they stated that honda would probably release 2 versions of the crx.
1, a timid version, and the other, a wild version DOHC VTEC aiming for 110-115kw at under 800kg!!
insane..
It be sick to revive such a classic and modernlise it. EG Mini. To bad honda hasnt gone ahead with it just yet.
isnt that an EP3?Quote:
