You might get defected... depends how old your car is =P
my e30 came out stock without a cat
There were a few people at the Ikea meet with straight pipes.
People usually buy a aftermarket cat with there headers etc and use that.
Xforce have good cats I'm lead to believe (as of recent)
V I'd personally use that more.
otherwise, magnaflow have some decent cats as well
No cat = $10,000 fine from EPA. Go high flow cat and also get a defouler to avoid check engine lights. High flow cats are better than a 5 digit fine.
hmmm well ive got a custom headers and a cannon muffler and ive noticed a big difference i used to change gears 2k with oem exhaust and headers now i have to change gears at 3k...is that a good thing? and wit ha high flow cat will make any difference?
im currently running a d16y4 but b16 is real soon!
lol sorry for wasting your time guys
if your going to get a b16 real soon, no point modifying your car atm, might aswell save up..
yeah i've got money for the b16 already. im just looking around for a complete conversion now but its all in syd! also uni is coming up again and im thinking of selling my car (since i cant pay for ma loan and will be in tight budget) or engine swap so yeah im confused atm of what to do lol
don't do anything to your car unless you have the cash!
don't want to go around with a hole in your pocket....
learn to save and gradually get things done....
goodluck on the car.
from the past 6months i saved money to do a b16 swap but realising that uni is gonna be hectic soon i wont be able to do certain hours anymore at work to pay off my car and car expenses. so im deciding on selling my car to pay off my loan and on top of that the cash i saved up from 6months..
sorry for being real asian..
Must we beat up on the woman?
I don't mean to sound as sexist as I do over 73|-| NETZ (though I know I do)
i was just asking since i hear and read stuff on the net that drivers going on straight pipe and no cat..i jsut wanted to know if theres a purpose or not..sorry dude i dont know much about cars
well the selling of car will happen if i fall through my budgeting..and the conv. money is just there for back up..
soz for my gayness lol
Just remember that people running straight pipes without cats run a HUGE risk, any knowledgable cop can tell that you're not running a cat just by the smell of your exhaust.
Straight pipes without a cat might provide small gains but are definately not worth the risk.
Hmm... honda's sound so goddam droney though, its like it sounds weak but loud only...
I reckon just get a good catback system,
