Hey, are straight pipe exhaust tip legal in NSW? How much DB are produced from em? Just the tip, anyone on here have it?
Or the 4'' Cannon tip is it farty on an EG? Or the smaller ones like 2.5'' are farty?
And what do you recommend I go with? How much will it cost to weld the muffler in etc...?

my exhaust tip was 4 inch but then i got booked and found out that i was at 110db over 20db the legal limit. So what i'm doing now is get dual tips so that not to look to ulleh (mind you this is going on a prelude) but still have the noise, my tip for you would be to go for a twin loop, just spend the extra will be worth it.

i had straight pipe stainless too so louder than mild steel, and to an n1 cannon, its was bloody loud, louder than just a straight pipe, but boy was it deep, can hear the cams then a scream up in vtec (sounded like a bike) i wouldn't recommend this for street use or will i do it again, too much attention
Decided to go with the cannon I think just need some reviews on the 4''.
Will it sound farty? Cause I heard on a mates car he has a cannon aswell, doesn't sound farty at all.

it is very very noise, so u guys think twin loop will help to reduce the noise?
i recommend xforce twinloop :) very nice tone, not farty.
i got a twin loop actually but the guy gonna fit for me told me that it is too big to put that in... can anyone post a link or website that i can get one fit on my eg?
hmm get ur self a good custom made exhaust. u could so a 2x mid muffler (sausage) and run a 2.5" tip at the end of the pipe :)

Just installed 4'' cannon doesn't sound that bad. But it's so ****ing loud O_O
did you do the catback piping also? or just the muffler welded on to stock pipe? it shouldn't be that loud, what brand cannon is it?
I dunno if it does has a cat-back, but like when I bought the car the car came with a stock exhaust but like it was sorta loud. The brand is X-Force I think.
Maybe a hiflow cat or something.
Hmmmm X-Force 4'' Cannon in my car is so ****ing loud can hear it inside the car, gets annoying, anyone recommend me a muffler tip to buy for around 50-70$, What some other good brand and not too loud. I simply can't afford the $300 tips, this time should I go on 2.5'' will it decrease the loudness since the one I have now is 4''.

have you herd a buddyclub pro spec II, its a strait pipe exhaust? i had one on my dc2, so loud that i took it off and the outlet is like only 2 and a half or 3 inches big. Its axelback and should bolt strait on if you have stock piping
he wants to decrease the noise i would imagine, not wake up the whole suburb LOL.

yeh haha my bad guys. It sits in a box in my garage collecting dust :( i equip it occasionally for some fun. If anyone wants it 220 and its yours (had to pay 40 bucks to modify the hangers)
in regards to what muffler tip, i would go for a twin-loop,sound is super deep! and fairly quiet but i think there a little more pricy than 100 bucks

wld 2 resonators do anything to dampen down the sound? i wanna run a straight pipe tip like spec II cos i like the look of it but dont want the loud ass sound...
