RB1 - Watch out for the 40,000km service

Just got stung $525 for my 40k service and that's after asking for a discount...

Is that for normal service or any other extra services were done?

40k service is a major service. You should see the 40k service for a Jazz. $700 plus from dealer

40k only has an additional air filter and valve clearance check. You should call around various dealers to find out their prices. $5xx is Sydney pricing. It is about $4xx in Melb. Not sure how much is the usual price in Qld.

I paid $325 for my 40K service for my euro because i brought my own oil & they didn't change the air filter as i had an aftermarket intake. Some of my mods actually save me some money on service cost.

for sydney ppl just go to either Top One or Hannys, they wont rip you off . . .

haven't been to Honda since 20k and Top One servicing mine afterward

wtf just got back from Yarra Honda (VIC) and got quoted $707 for 40,000 service.... smfh

Don't go to John Blair or Yarra Honda for major service because they're close to the city. Try dealer that quite further from the city.
