Does anyone know if the struts/springs are lower in the later models of the Accord Euro? I've purchase 06 luxury wheels and put them on my 03 euro but the front looks awefully high compared to a stock 06 accord euro luxury.
Thanks

yeah i seem to notice the face lift 06+ models look to sit a bit lower.
i think the luxury ones r a lil bit more lower than the base model
Hey tony,
is ur rear alittle lower than ur front? It feels as if mines that way.... I got it checked out by a suss place and they said its fine. but i dunno...
hmm i think luxury is a lil lower cuz they r bit more heavier :)
AFAIK, the Luxury from 05 on (when they got 17s) ran a different (shorter, softer) spring to the Standard - or so the service manager at my dealership told me. I've put 17s on mine and it sits quite high - noticeably higher than a Lux (have parked side-by-side with one and checked).
Just another excuse for aftermarket springs and shocks. ;)
I know for definite thar the spring/shock rates were changed(made softer)from 05 onwards cause of complaints(probably from old farts)that the 03-04 models ride was too firm. All i know is that the ride on my 06 stock was shit(as in soft and wallowy).I lasted 2 weeks before i changed it.
i have noticed that my 05 when on stock suspension sat lower than most other euros i bumped into...
just found it odd.
Oh is that right? that must explain why there was a 1cm height difference between driver front and rear vs the passenger side. When i installed my coilovers, the installer had to make the driver height 10mm heigher to match the passenger side - he thought i had been in an accident that caused the chassis to be different height but that couldnt be the case because my car was brand new.
So how should the suspension be set up with coilovers? because the spring rate is stiffer should we be setting the height of the front lower than the rear because it is FWD? so that the front gets more grip? right now with my buddyclub suspension, the rear is still lower slightly than the front...whats the best setup? has any1 played around?
Corner balancing makes it so that your car's ability to turn left and right at the limit is equal. You don't feel any difference on the street. There are many that go on trackdays without corner balancing and they do fine too. Price I think it is about $200 - 250? Not sure how much as mine was done as part of the coilover install a few years ago.
