Gonna have a crack at doing synchros this weekend. Any one know what size gear puller I'd need? - Also any any hints/tips etc would be greatly appreciated.

i never knew a gear puller was required?
i rebuilt an s80 without one...
butane gas torch otherwise you can use a hydraulic press
A puller isnt required, nor heat????????
Gearpull isn't very expensive and would definitely help. So will a bit of heat with the gearpuller.
Make sure you take some pics please and a DIY would be great!
EDIT: There is a DIY for pulling a D-series apart on Ozhonda.
s4c is the vtir integra box right?
I've seen all the hydro boxes without the need for a puller.
Do a search there is a link out there with steps on how to rebuild it i use to have it but its at home
thanks guys. i usually dont have much luck with this stuff so i'll prolly end up needing one. lol.
will try and do DIY but dont hold your breath cause i've never done a box before. have printed the gearbox section of an EK manual so hopefully that'll help.
thanks limbo, i havent been able to find much at all on rebuilding a b-series box but i'm sure d-series would be similar.
there was a thread on another forum once where someone in the states was talking a south african dude (i think) through building a gearbox. wish i could remember where i saw it!!
the factory service manual explains perfectly how to rebuild the gearbox?
it's pretty hard to stuff up if you have a clean work area, plenty of solvents, a good set of measuring devices and nice organised methodology...
thanks tinkerbell. so do you have a factory service manual for me?? i'm not worried about stuffing it up, just checking what exactly I'm gonna need.
btw, box is out and partially in pieces. turns out u can only get part of the shafts apart without a puller or press so looks like i'm going shopping tomorrow!
BTW, when i first removed the box from the engine bay a small spring fell out. any ideas where the hell it would have come from?????

try this, its a LSD install but it tell u how to pull the box apart and put ti back together
thanks limbo, nice find.
that snap ring is a complete pain in the butt!!
Hope you have a good snap ring plier. Not the crappy ones that have interchangeable heads.
Good does not have to be expensive. My $17 trojan snap ring plier is so much better than the crappy $20 Kincrome one with interchangeable heads (tips bend and break when you undo beefy snap rings).
snap ring isnt too hard.
needle nose pliers work fine....jsut need to balance them in place while you lever the casing to crack the seal. Abit of practice easy.
no, but the internet does:

the 98-01 Acura Integra service manual is the one to use...
<- needle nose pliers user here too!
try this it might help you out

dont worry about gear puller rubber mallet is good
only thing u need a press for is the bearing on the spider gear/LSD
