Well im about to change over to buying an X-Force Cannon System. Then when i can ill be getting TODA Headers
Loud nice note.. With headers i'd say keep them stock until you can afford TODA, your better off doing it once and right man.
but what if we do not want to get TODA headers.? say buddy club headers for example. nearly as good but half the price..
would be nice if anyone with dyno sheets could post up so we can compare

Spend $1450 & have the car go seemingly better than stock.
Or stretch the budget to $1675 for measurably better gain.
Back to the OP's question... If you're after bang for bucks...
Don't skimp on the header as most of the power gain in the exhaust is in the header.
The cat back, though still important is less critical.
Beware of some products on the market that look good but fail to deliver.
The 5-Zigen Pro Racer is an excellent example.

Regardless OP is looking for bang for buck headers not royalty headers.
Your never gonna have the fastest car on the street... and if TODA doesnt fit into your budget then quite simply don't waste your money.
Do your research, ask your mech so on so on.
umm ive heard hytech and SMSP (but im not sure if you have to import these) are good bang for buck.

in order for OP's question to be answered appropriately we need to understand what his perception of "bang for buck" is....
i know we have a thread which has dyno charts for headers on the site somewhere... maybe a good way to do this is to measure HP gain per dollar...

If you spend a fair amount of money on something shiny that does very little to improve performance, the HP per dollar is far worse than a more expensive product that works really well.
So much so, that in many cases if you can’t afford to use the best parts,
You really are better off both in terms of performance & financially to not modify the car until you can do it properly.
I.e.: Do it once & do it right.

bang for buck header id say would be the kidracing race header from Vteckid off clubrsx forums. Its pretty much an SSR header, i got mine to my door for $485 and got a 200 cell cat welded into the test pipe. gains are very good and has a nice note.
