Which one do you guys use? I was thinking of picking up this brand called Napolex Broadway. Not sure if I should buy blue or the silver one. The silver one apparently reduces glare at night a bit which I think I need !

I used a 270mm curved blue one and found at night I couldn't see anything on a dark street, but that's because I have dark tint on my rear window and the "blueness" is to help against people high beaming etc. meaning the tint is amplified. The curve helps you see more, but it does make things seem further away, thus losing more detail. I now have a 270mm flat 2x (not HID like the one above, but brighter I believe) and it's good since I prefer having things look "normal" and I can see better at night behind me.
the blue tinted one is a bit hard to see during night use. That's just from my personal experience.

The silver one has like an aluminium tint over it. Is that one a problem?
I think that's how it lets "more light" at night, therefore being able to see better.

I reckon 270mm is a good size. Keep in mind you won't be able to open your visor-things to block the sun without hitting your mirror.
Aww yeah forgot about that! Hmmm 270mm doesn't seem that much bigger though...

this mirrors are hectic, my mate has em, can see so much and they look bling too LOL
if u got tinted windows just get the clear..
if u got no tint, then go for the blueish one.
Apparently the convex (curve) ones you can see heaps better but you'll see your own reflection all the time. Don't think I can stand that so I guess I'm going the flat ones.

If you're in Melb there's a shop in Box Hill that sells them, but eBay is generally cheaper. But the store is there if you want to get it instantly. :D
i ve had the convex before, things are like 2-3 times smaller. easy to misjudge a car's distance from you and also i got a massive headache with the curve as well.
Stick to a flat its the best imo, 300mm is perfect.
300mm blocks the visors I think, so I opted to get the 270mm.
leave ur visors down all the time and you dont have to worry about them being blocked!
I got mine from autobarn $19.95, some no-name brand, the instructions were what looked like Japanese but bugger if i can tell what it said, i just looked at the pictures

Don't mind the dirty windshield i haven't driven it or washed it in a while, and it's 300mm flat type not convexed

yeah you can, you can see the blind spots too, well the pass side one, my big head gets in the drivers side view :D
i've had a 270mm one for ages now, can see much more than the stock mirror and clears the visors too

mirrors are really good, i use the convex blue one
no problems and love it.
The blue ones are apparently really hard to see at night.
I was tossing up between the tint & no tint. Was leaning towards the no tint then realised that I find lights a bit too bright for me at night sometimes so I opted for the tint. You can still see quite clearly but not as bad as the blue one apparently.
what i heard, broadway that convex is fake chinese ones
original broadway is always flat, the glass does not convex
im talking about the glass itself not the reflection.
Wouldn't think it's fake cause it's all listed on the broadway website...
seriously? does it matter if it's chinese? it's just a piece of reflective glass/plastic
from experience the curved glass sucks, you might be able to see more but your perspective of things become wonky
stick with the flat glass and non-tinted

How did u get your license cause you should be checking your mirrors all the time and when u wanna change lanes it's mirror then blind spot check.

the whole purpose of a broadway mirror is to have a wide angle view... a larger mirror alone won't do that, it needs to be convexed...

I believe you can still access the dimmer lever on the OEM mirror even when this mirror is fitted. These mirrors have been available in the market for decades, lots of people use them worldwide.
Hey look, don't use them if you don't want to, but I tell you one thing, I like having an advantage in the drivers seat when I'm driving, and these wide mirrors give a definite advantage over standard small mirrors.

All the mirror does is let you see more of the interior of your car. You don't actually see more behind you, you just see more of the backseat/C pillars etc.

I went to the shop next to new age in box hill yesterday and grabbed a broadway 270mm flat face. 35 bucks

I found the stock DA9 rearview mirror to be pretty bad. I was unable to see the completely out the rear windscreen. A friend gave me his 270mm flat Broadway mirror for free and I can now see both edges of the rear windscreen. His main complaint was that it vibrated when driving, rendering it almost useless, but he also drives an FD1 with massive, well designed mirrors compared to my car.
If he asked for it back, I would definitely buy one...
The shop did have a 270mm in the convex face only one. I chose to get flat. Hopefully with engine mounts it wont rattle too much ;)
