Is that for automatic or manual, with metallic or flat paint ?
The current retail price in Melbourne at the moment is $40000 for a standard automatic with metallic.
Of course that price is then negotiated.
I know,I bought one ,and absorlutely love it.Chose Buran Silver.
Its an auto, pearl white.
37K sounds quite a reasonable price, you may be able to negotiate on that but I don't think you will do too much better. I would be more inclined to get them to throw in some accessories free of charge like floor mats, painted mud flaps etc. you can't go wrong with pearl white.
I agree with buddah51 au,I got the floor mats and 2 awesome Silver Honda keyrings thrown into the deal...
on carsales, brandnew Cu2 with is $37000 auto driveaway. if you are in sydney looking at Rick demelian and Larke hoskin they still provide extended warranty until end of august. std euro shold be less than 37k after negotiation

got mine 2 months ago,
here's the story,
39,990 drive away,
parent's negotiated to the salesman saying it was for my first car,
they asked for 35,000
salesman asked manager,
manager said best price they could do was 36,100 with darkest legal tinted windows and paint protection.
10 year warranty, and 2 years free servicing and road-side assistance.
pretty good deal i my opinion, but i'm an inexperienced buyer, i'm only 18, and this is my first car, it's only done 3084KM's in the past 2 months, and not a scratch :]
Got mine in March 2010, paid $36,500 Pearl White Auto drive away. The only thing I got was floor mats =( I know I could've bargained more. About 2 months later they had a 4 day sale for $34,500 drive away.
This is also my first car...been 'hit n run' twice into my rear at car parks =(.
As for your 37000 quote I'm pretty sure you and drop it down to 35000 with some extras.
Hope this helps.
I'm so jealous, I want a cu2. T.T damn my luxury euro !
Thanks guys, I finally bought one for 34000 with tint and mats, I was so close to get a Mazda 6, but dont want to see those orange dash for another few years :)
Holy shit thats a great deal! Still auto? I would have expected 35-36.....WELL DONE!
Yeah Auto pearl white :) driving like a grandpa atm, cant wait for it to hit 1000km
Wow grats awesome deal! Life must be good atm for you. Was for me on the first coupla weeks of ownership anyway lol.
isn't luxury the same as CU2?
Congratulations,thats an awesome deal.
Is yours a MY2011 ???
Dealer must have been keen to move the stock...
So pleased you got this over the Mazda 6.
I drove a 6,but the Euro looked and felt so much better, like it was from the class above.
After I drove the Mazda,I deceided that the Honda was for me.......................................
Its really personal choice.. For me, I don't regret at all for not getting luxuary, could have got lux auto CU2 with 5yrs warranty for 39k drive away when i was looking for the car. I was ended up buying base Jan 2010 built My10 silver model auto with honda rear sensor and 5yr warranty and deposited the extra 5k(Could have paid for the lux auto model) in as an addition to my term deposit and getting some extra intrest.
350Z turbo? Are you sure it isn't 350Z rotary?
Guys, i am not advertising anything. Just if anyone lives in adelaide and looking for base model euro auto, please see this add in car sales website. This guy seems won this car in a competition or something and advertised to sell it for 33k. brand new with only 30kilometers on the clock...
http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...d=12ACA5703B08
$34,500 drive way sydney i think
$45800 for Luxury Sat Nav incl 5 yrs wty + roadside assist, boot tray, mats, rear bumper boot lip protector and oem lock nuts. but, i was not careful enough to insist on a newer stock, hence was allocated a january 2010 built one, feb10 compliance plated. given that it's a Honda, a stock that is more than 3 mths old is OLD stock.
DId you check with other honda dealers before signed the contract with rick? Other dealers may have new stock. Just remember Jan 2010 built is classified as My10 and new releases after June is My11. Technically there is no difference except when you try to sell the car.
Its out of the topic.. Is anyone here in this forum owner of the silver euro Cu2 BNW 32D.... Today i seen it and the driver seems not driving it smooth, ..THe car seems polished and shiny..
Just bought a silver MY11 Honda Accord Euro Std Auto with 5 yr Warranty & 5 yr Premium Roadside for $33500 driveaway here in Vic.
Wow Meemooo Meemoo you are like an FBI..fantastic, he is really lucky guy mate won something. I never won anything more than $1000 worth. Recent thing i won was the 32inch panasonic LCD tv in Jan 2010 which worth RRP 999 something...

Hey guys first post here. I am looking at purchasing a Euro Luxury MY11 Auto. Honda's website lists $43990 as RRP Driveaway. I came across this article earlier in the week however, http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-new...105-17gzp.html
Honda website has still not updated with this new pricing. Should be able to get the Luxury with some extras for sub 40k now. What do you guys think??
The listed price for lux auto $41,290 is not included onroad and dealer delivery, which normally cost an extra 4000-4500.. so RRP drive away price for euro lux would be around 45290 and metallic paint extra 500.... The drive away price for lux auto was 48k, now would be around 46k with metallic paint..
I think few people in this forum got the lux auto for 41-41500 with few accessories... I am sure you can get it around same price or close to nowadays as well..
In my area, the drive away special on a MY11 Euro lux auto is $44465...which I think is a very good price.
Not sure how negotiable that is though ???
Do I need to buy the paint and leather protection kit from the dealer.
Do I need to get aftermarket people to do the job? What kind of car wash kit to wash the car?
Let say the car is black....
hey mate, last time i went to Larke Hoskins Honda, asked them for a deal on the Euro Lux, they offered me $42.5k for the Luxury trim...
Hope this would help.
Cheers
Now is 40K.
Looking at a MY11 Euro Luxury with Sat Nav, floor mats and dark tint for $44500 on road. What does everyone think?
Yes, Im buying another Euro. I love my 2007 manual Lux so much, that Im keeping it, selling my 2006 Mazda 6 and buying the new Euro.
yea, i got mine for $41000 DA with tint n matts
euro lux white
Use a car broker.... Saves you from haggling.
PS: sales are down because Mid-life facelift is around the corner.....
Anyone brought a Euro Luxury Navi?
It cost 46k.... A top of the line Skoda Superb only cost $3000 more, and it's like 2 sizes larger.
It doesnt make sense that a base model can be sold for 33k while the top of the time is 46k, thats like 13k... for what?
Well said, mainly you are paying for leather seats, sunroof, 18inch alloy, HID auto lights, auto wipers, Front sensors, headlight washer, and mainly inbuilt GPS navigation and rear view camera.. I think you can get it for 44k driveaway for lux navi..
When i bought my Cu2, i could not justify extra 6500 for lux auto and ended up buying base auto, really happy with it.
The base Euro is on special for $34000 at the moment, but also remember that is for a manual, and the vast majority of Euros are automatic.
The base auto is on special drive away for $36300,which represents brilliant value for money,as you dont get the sunroof/leather,but everything else is pure Euro.
Which is exactly my point, the Euro suffers from an same case of narrow price elasticity as the Acura TSX, the base model, prices at low-to-mid-$30k is very good value for money, but the higher spec's, at mid-$40k... isn't. Since it's in competition with the actual European marques.
I currently own a CL9, I test Driven the following cars recently:
Alfa 159 (1.4ltr twin charged thingy)
Skoda Superb 1.8L TSI 7spd DSG
Citroen C5 2.0 HDI
Accord Euro CU2 Lux (was looking at Navi)
The Accord feels like a Toyota next to this bunch. Disregarding the looks of the cars, the Euro's K24 is essentially 10 yr old technology, funnily enough, Japanese cars were renowned for their low fuel consumption... well the CU2 is the most (un)economical of this bunch, also emits the most Co2 (BTW on the CU2 I tested the engine still "Ping"s)
[start rant]
I dunno what Honda was doing for the last 5 years, VW is already on their 2nd Generation of TSI engines and DSG gearboxes. Fiat group has their own twin charged engines and DSG boxes, even Ford has DSG's now.
Honda is still one of the most joyous handling wise (Alfa 159 takes crown on that... SOOOOO good... even if i cant drive manual for S***). But seriously, what was Honda doing for the last 5 years? For the R&D money they blown on that stupid flop of a "Legend" and that "SH-AWD" (SH for "Super-Handling"...) they would've had their own range of high efficiency small displacement engines and Dual-clutch gearboxes.
Are the people who gave us the glorious VTEC now too busy charging existing owners $200 for door actuators than doing some R&D?
A Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI (118KW) can outrun a Euro on a straight line... While drinking 30% less petrol on the Urban Cycle (9.6L/100km vs. 12.3L/100km) WHILE being a full size car?
Time really had moved on... At least for the $40k plus market.
[/end rant]
As per honda special in website, for NSW the luxuary auto is 44500, possible to get close to 40 or 41k drive away i think and lux navigation is 47500 driveaway, possible close to 43 or 44k driveaway i believe. I am sure dealesr can throw accessories even if they can't reduce price much..
Tell them 30. walk away if they say "cant do better than 41" or some other BS like that.
then go to another dealer... tell them you're willing to put deposit down for 39. Today.
PS: dont use www.discountnewcars.com.au it's not a car broking service. it's merely a dealer advertisement platform.
Hondalink,
Another advise, just politely walk away if the dealer not ready to do the price you want..
Makesure you list the accessories you wanted before start negotiating. After you done deal/sign the contract and decided to go with any accessories, they will try to give you full price for accessories.
Otehr thing is makesure you stay firm when they try to convince you to get paint protection. They try to tell you rust underguard protection. Just when i try to inquire about surface rust on exhaust pipe(i found out the surface rust after 6months of usage is normal and rust was not there at all when i bought my car, as before i picked the car, i look underneeth of the car carefully as well), service guy at my dealer told me the car underneeth already comes with rust protection, except exhust pipe.
I wonder why customer service people at dealership asking 1000+ for rust underguard protection if the car underneeth is already been protected with rust protection...
GOod luck
