I Have 2 things, I'm growing too big for my Integra!!/Can I Fix Hail Damage?

Hey guys and girls,

As the title says, I seem to be having problems finding a decent driving position in my 1996 DC4 Integra. I'm only just over 6 foot, and my head is either rubbing on the headliner, or sandwiched between the headliner and sunroof. To make a long story short, it's time for a new car.

I was initially thinking about getting a BA-BF Ford Falcon, but the build quality is terrible, even compared to my Integra, and they use way too much fuel (even on gas).

I also want to give Honda a second chance (I love every other aspect of the Integra - apart from the headroom), and am considering either the Jazz VTi, or the Civic Vi hatch. What are they like, in regards to space, handling, features and modding potential?

I've heard the early Japanese-built Jazzes have problems with the wheel bearings, the CVT (I'll be getting a manual though) and the air conditioner, were these problems fixed with the later-built Japanese models, or the Thai models?

I haven't heard anything bad about the Civic though.

Also, these days, Pickles/Manheim Fowles seem to be selling lots of written-off cars due to hail damage. Is it possible to fix the hail dents by yourself and get it re-registered/insured? Or do they need to be done by an accredited panel-beater? I ask this, because I'm doing a TAFE night course on panel-beating (not accredited), and now know the basics of panel-beating.

Have you ever considered a H22A powered accord? I'm 6ft 6 and find them comfortable lots of room and mod potential. Any way just a suggestion.

I have considered it, but I don't think the CD model has factory remote keyless entry (my Integra has a terrible aftermarket immobiliser/keyless entry system), and the CG model is too bloated and boring.

I know that Kristian from Iron Chef Imports tried to bring in the CL1 Euro-R, but I haven't heard of any updates. I found his thread here, but it quickly turned into a flame war (thread is here: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...Euro-R-article). Does anyone know what's going on with this?

If you're happy with your Integra, have you considered buying used Recaro DC2R seats & getting Vision/Spoon Low seat rails. That will drop the seat height by about 50mm.

Cheaper than getting another car.

There are no specialist Honda wreckers in Canberra, and the wreckers in the area have no parts for the Integra either.

Super lows is the way to go man :).

After talking to the teacher at my panelbeating class, it turns out that repairing hail damage is harder than I thought...

But, what about the Jazz, or the Civic Vi?

I didn't think getting hail damage fixed was that expensive to get a professional to do. Guess it depends on how severe it is though.
