I think it's RE711 for 99-00 ITR, RE010 for 01+Quote:

99-00 still RE010.... I wish they got 711s hahaha
Hmm.... ok... when i just got my license and going to look for a car, i've seen all new ITR in honda are equipped with RE711, which is when ITR first came out in ausQuote:

I just want to know the best tire combo for my DC2 ITR, cos the dealer i bought my car from whacked on some crappy Malaysian tires called "Silverstone".
The car has perfect balance but traction breaks way too early i find going around a fast corner. pls tell me a good tire for my original rims
i have a set of Bridgestone G3 on the stock rims as they didnt have the oem re010 in stock??? and it came with the car when i bought it, so far so good, it makes alot of noise though so its a bit of an attention seeker if driven fast:) but as long as it grips then i have no dilemma.
oh and im pretty sure the JDM came out with bridestone re010 or yoko es100 stock...................not 100% sure though
i thought re010 on dc2r's
re040 on dc5's?
dc2r comes with re010 from the factory
And please DON'T get the crappy g3, u won't get the sharp turn in as you get from the re010. As the sidewall on the g3 is not as stiff.
Unfortunately there's not much options for tyres in 15" on the market right now.
Your best bet is to buy the re010 or go semi slicks.
Or unless you can find someone who imports the re01r or advan neova from japan.
i rang up bridgestone abour re010
195/55r15
i got quoted 220 per tyre fitted and balanced
bit expensive....
but its an awesome tyre
Oh haha..... everyone seems to like the RE010 over the GIII........
i find my GIIIs are better than the RE010......
Personal taste right :), I do lot more better time when i use GIII on track rather than RT-215, maybe i still haven't get used to the tyres yet
anyway Silverstone are from Malaysia? i thought it's some europe tyres.... but it's not a very good tyre brand though..... personal opinion
yeah the only negative about the G3 is the weak sidewall, it flexs under load, but with 55 profile, you cant really get stiff sidewalls for street radials unless you spend bit more $$. G3 are affordable.Quote:

I am using Advan AD07. I think it is the best street tyre. Both on the wet or dry road. I and my few friends have no negative feedback when they drove. Worth to try!!
how much do the ad07 cost you? where did you get them form?
Yeah you are right, all you can do is...... pump more air.......Quote:

I think you should try AD07. Chris(from endless) said: "It is the best street tyre at this moment." If you don't try, you can't believe. Ask your friends, like vincent, ablert...etc. They are using AD07 now. :thumbsup:Quote:

It's yokohama, sigh....... lots of ppl thought AVS Sport are the best street tyre...... i think even AD05/06 are better than that, also RE01, used RE01 for 500km, 2nd hand....... all i could say is....... bye bye re010 and GIII, never tried S03 though.... not for 15''Quote:

i know jdm ctr's came wif RE010 and RE01 (eknine told me this... :D )
100% sure, ITR comes with RE711 and then RE010 after RE711 is gone
I went to All 3 honda dealers just after i got my license, i think 99 model(first model have RE711, 00-11 have RE010, something like that, not sure about the months, honda call their ITR 00 model after Nov 99 ?
Anyway all CTR comes with RE010 stock
its RE01 for JDM CTR :)Quote:

threading the post someone did mentioned that currently there is shortage of good 15" tyres - spot on!
IMHO for 15" tyres and you want good mileage in wet or dry then try Pirelli P6000.
BS re010 IMHO is a summer based tyre. (pls don't start any debate on this, because your driving condition is very different from mine and it finally work in summer 2004-phew! )
GIII - well that is a replacement for GII and honestly its quite a good set of tyres "for" it price **
but if any want wants a more accurate yet short and concise of BS tyres on honda, ...err try posting in the international section of club TSX, the best person for this question visit less on this board. :D
Please please please do not recommend tyres on this board which are not ADR approved. Advan AD07 are NOT ADR approved. Consequences of driving on a tyre which is not ADR approved?? very grey area... from no consequence to no insurance coverage if you are in an accident (consider this point carefully).
as for the 711, if you bought a set 2nd hand from someone with an R - i had them on my R but i bought them myself - RE010 was standard equipment on DC2R.
Thanks for the info, maybe it's because we are in different states, i am in QLD, maybe you guys are in NSW or MEL so i don't know, 99 model have RE711 and all other model have RE010

These tyres where developed especially for the R series of cars the only diff between JDM and AUDM is the rim size 15" as oppssed to 16" and the JDM are 215/45/16 Not 100% on profile there but close and AUDM gets 195/55/15 again profile but close.
Maybe you need kswap to fix this
