Hey, don't know much about type R's but if it said "rear tower brace" then if you lift the boot you should see it running accross the rear towers. I would not have thought cars come with rear tower braces as there would be too much interferance with luggage, but like I said I don't know much. :DQuote:

anyway, 'strut' and 'tower' is the same thing, just different contexts...
the rear bar was a factory option.

As far as I know the R's have it @ the very back of the boot floor, near the back panel that covers the tail lights. hope that helps! :DQuote:

Open your boot and right at the back (back lights) and you'll see a metal pole going from one side to the other. Thats it. As for bar that goes mid boot where hte sussy is, as Kenshin said factory option.

sure u can, but some aftermarket bars are far more better... :D
Cheers
there are three total
1: in the engine bay
2: underneath the car at the back
and 3: inside the rear boot, come all standard
why dont ITRs have the front lower tie bar like CTRs?
i think we are all getting mixed up a little
Strut tower bar (you will only ever have 2 on your car) is the bar that runs from the top of the strut towers to one another.
Lower Tie bars are the bars that go between each lower control arm.
The brace that you are talking about at the rear of the boot near the tail lights, as far as i know is just additional bracing, i dont know any special name for it...
Hope that help, and i hope i got all my info correct
the silver/grey looking bar that runs near the tail light is called a boot brace.
no i mean the lower FRONT tie bar. as in under the engine joining the LCA's.
do the ITRs have them or not?
NOQuote:

the rear itr strut tower bar was optional like everyone said, and if you're after them try some of the traders here, like tanghy, z10, hondar, etc...
tiebars = Swaybars or stabilizer bar
Integra type r's do have them.
you can buy them from -> www.whiteline.com.au
so someone correct me if im wrong.. i thnk i got it..
strut= tower bars. connects the two towers to each other ontop of engine.
sway bars = tie bars = underneath car. can have rear and front ones, joining the LCA's.
is that right?
yup thats correct, but i havent heard anyone say tie bars or tower bars before.
mostly, sway bars and strut braces.
