Hi,

Several things - did you install yourself ? Or a mechanic ?
Could be
Cv joints binding
Loose hub nuts
Loose knuckle or tierod ends
Even loose lugnuts
The point is the problem is directly related to
The install of driveshaft/s - so back track and make sure everything is tight and there is smooth movement in the geometry of the front suspension.
hey mate thanks for that, the noise would only come when load would be placed on it. I have replaced the drivers side ball joint today as the rubber was split and the bolt part of it was turning and would not tighten up, I have re-installed the drivers side shaft. I will be putting it all back together tomorrow so if it does it again i will pm you.
Kris
If the lower ball joint wasn't tight this will give issues - the knuckle will move
About and stuff up your alignment too
I would guess that should fix it so good luck let us know
Just reinstalled the drive shafts and the thing happening, the car only does that when the car is turning right and leaning in the same direction PLEASE PPL HELP ME!!!
Sounds like you put the tripod joint (inner CV) together arse about.
this will also happen LMAO,,

anyone else have any idea?? srsly i had a new ball joint put in also, i changed the end racks and just wondering could noise be because of the wheel alignment??
Its like the belows video's

Where did you get the shafts from?
They could be to long and binding when the suspension is compressing or turning will do it to
..............anyone?????
Unless you've stuffed up & haven't torqued the 32mm nut correctly, as i said before my guess is the inner tripod joint is put togther arse about.
That is, when you removed it to replace/work on the outer CV, it didn't go back together the right way around (I'm talking about the plates & bearings inside the joint)
Or if you didn't pull the inner off/apart, it's popped & one or more of the plates/bearings have become dislodged from the drive pins & there's your noise.
Otherwise, maybe you're going to have to get someone to look at it.
what toda said somewhere along the line you ****ed it
Bent control arm and front hub wheel bearing gooonneeee.
On reflection this thread is a good example of how not to ask a question.
Members who have questions should take note (& Kris, don't take offence)
After reading all of this thread with 20/20 hindsight, this thread would have been better started like this:
"The car was making a loud knocking sound from the front wheel area...
Thinking the noise was the driveshafts, I replaced them with new ones.
Now I can rule out the shafts as changing them had no effect on the sound.
What could it be?"
Answers are easier to arrive at when the whole story is clear.
Anyway, good to hear you've got it sorted.
