Hi guys,
After all the research, it is not easy to find a green colour windows tint. All of them are below the legal VLT limit (20% and 5%). In addition, someone told me it is illegal to use colour tinting except black in Victoria (not sure in NSW), is that right? where can I find the rule in NSW?
I am looking for just green colour and i am happy with 35% VLT.
Thank you,
Tony
Google man.. "RTA VSI03"
Yeah, I found that one, but that one is 2003 (not sure if there is a recent one) because I believe it doesn't mention about colour tinting. Am I right?
It doesnt get updated every year, only when the law has changed.
I dont think it does either, it only mentions reflective tints as far as i read...
yup agree. In my opinion, this keyword "Reflective" is quite tricky in a way that if you look at your black color tinting, surely it is reflective a well when under the sunlight. Am I right to say that? Or may be if I can get any green colour without mirror, probably i would be okay?
Thats regular glare.
reflective = mirror tints.
Okay, thank you for the info, FlipFire :)
By the way, do you know anywhere in sydney can do green colour tinting?
I dunno if Groundzero tinting does Green but they do cheap and quality tinting. Give Martin a call.
thank you for your help, FlipFire :)
By the way, have you come across any shop in sydney who has green colour window tinting?
Thanks Flipfire.
Anyone know who install green colour tint?
Thank you
Just a note, if you do go ahead and get green coloured tint, don't be surprise if you get defected for it - or even if you have an accident and your insurance company voids your insurance policy.
Wot... are you sure? Did you or someone you know, experience this one before? I thought the rta regulation doesn't says about colour tint? Only says non reflective and above 35%vlt
Police will see it and pull you over - you're not sure about whether they are legal or not and they will sure as hell pounce on that vulnerability - they can defect you ANYTHING.
Hmmm, that's bad. Is there anything I can do to confirm on the legallity of using colour tint with 35%vlt n non reflective? Or should I go to police station n ask the police there?
Just call the RTA - they make the rules - the police just enforce them.
Yeah I think I would do that. Thank you.
For a beautiful looking green window tint available in Sydney contact Solartint on (02) 95262888 head office in Caringbah and ask for the Madico USA brand film and the Charcool 35% product to be specific.
I use it all the time in Melb.
