:D Good Stuff ...
Will the Jazz chassis able to hold the K20a ?? Any reinforcement needed?
woah!!! beast...show us more pics of it pls when its done... :D
did u have any other mods on it?? wouldnt it be too powerful for the jazz to handle?? including corners??
How much is all this costing you???
haha 21 questions!! :P
where you located and where are you getting it done?
Pete:)
i like it ;)
its not mine...just one of my known friends back in Phil...ill keep you posted for updates..
hahaha where there is a will...
woooooooooooo
good stuff
so the car is not in Aus? =(
AUs's labour is too expensive to do that i think and parts are all expensive.....
Jazz can handle the K20A power if he got better brake, bars and susspension i think
just dun drive too fast LOL
for a moment I thought it was TypeG's car...
Didn't u say u are going to do that?
nice~
the engine itself is pretty darn exps. hehe
lol, is it worth the trouble as a hobby?
if the budget gets too expensive, why not settle with new car that has got a good engine?
btw,fitme, are u in australia?
if so, i find it a bit strange to have the brake's master cylinder on on the right when looking at the front of the car.
yes i am in aus..the one i posted is from the philippines....(left hand drive)Quote:

the feeling is so good if u drag with skyline etc...
also K20A should be in good condition still as Dc5s are still new
stealth.
think some1 has done this conversion in perth ages ago...any1 know?
Οh my god. Here in greece we have only the 1.3 and you can put the k20.We can not imagine it even in our dreams.
Thats awesome.
Here in oz, I think if you want a K20A you're better off buying an actual integra!
(I really wish honda would make a high-revving 16 valve DOHC version of the jazz 1.5L... jazz type-R?)

k20 in jazz is ultimate sleeper! good luck :D
DAAMMNNN... thats pretty awsome. loved the k20 in an eg. would be awsome in a JAZZ!
i think there was one in hot4s before, from o/s aswell, cant remember where though. either way it will definately be a beast!
whoa fully sick. got my hopes up now.
was there any modications that had to be done to the chassis to make the k20 fit in
and the best thing about it was that its power output was slightly over 170kw if i remember correctlyQuote:

thats crazy, im surprised the k20a fits into the jazz engine bay, but itd make for a pretty daym fast car! i wonder how the thing handles though, seeing as jazz isnt really designed for tracking..
You better go do some more research then ;)Quote:

i wana see man!!
its a pitty it wouldnt be street leagal. i belive that the k20 need firewall mods to fit.
We need Honda to make the jazz engine bay just a tiny bit bigger.
lol, pinoy style!
where in the phils is the car gettin a convertion done?
ive seen some that are ghetto like garages.
Best upgrade!! How much he need to spend?
update please! :)
I am lost. No where in the thread is mentioning who is fitting a K20a in a Jazz....
lol
5-10k to FIT in the engine properly man
i hope i can do it

man thats crazy you gota have allota money for dat shet
man i have some doubts on a car that hold a 1.3 litre engine that looks like it comes form a toy to fit a powerplant like the k20a from a Type R into it...it seems like a waste of money!!!!!!!!
but i give it a 10/10 for originality i reks when its done the balance will be very disturbed.........and we are talking bout philz here manz.... i come from der and allot of people do some dodgy stuff der.....but i gota hand it to the guy who trying it he brave
real brave but its interesting keep us posted manz i wna know wat happens next!!!!
waste of money... modify car is a waste of money anyway
well, get HKS turbo kit a waste of 8k right? so just depends how u spend yr money. Some people spend on house, girls, shares.... anything lol
that looks sweet
Well, the jazz is alot more spacious and comfortable inside than a type-R.. its more convenient and family-friendly. Only thing it lacks for some people is rocket-like acceleration and the K20A, though perhaps excessive, would give it that.. No doubt other modifications must be done to restore the balance - eg. brakes and suspension.Quote:

for weight issue, i suppose an EG will have similar issue as EG non-vtec are single cam as well and EG itself is very light as well and EGK20A are running so well with a good timing in track.
haha imagine the dynamite on track and the engine falls out :D
I actually heard that the K20A was incredibly light which is why so many people are doing transplants into smaller cars. A K20A won't affect the car's balance as much as a H22A would so they seem to be a really good option. Don't quote me on that though ;)Quote:

Should compare with jazz engine instead... i just feel that jazz is too delicate if u know wat i mean....
Do you think its viable to fit a b16a engine into the jazz instead of a K20A conversion? Would it be more suitable since the eg/ek type civics are similar in size to that of the jazz.
is it K20A ligther than B18C??? (DC5R got 100kg heavier than DC2R)Quote:

also the size of the dc5r is so much bigger than dc2r as well.
I am not sure the engine tho..... but Jazz engine should be the same as EG or EK single cam engine.
Common sensely, the newer the engine the smaller and lighter they are from the precendent ones.... cos of better technology.... especially jazz engine...as well all know, jazz is spacious becos of the small engine that fits in the small engine bay (none other makes win in this category from wat i know)... for for dc5r, they didnt concentrate on the engine size, which is one of the main factors would affect engine weight. this is wat i think without looking at any written facts and info

is there a conclusion on this? I want to know cos I have a k20a jazz now
^^ pics plz! :D
LOL so like the new rally car they are running?
apparantly from what i heard of the J's racing Jazz, he used a k20 short motor from a odyssey and the head of a dc5r to fit the k20 into a GD without any cutting.
ahh thats what it was.
but they didnt have to cut anything in the end did they?
odyssey blocks are k24s, but they did put a k20 head on it (k series frank for the best of both worlds). As you said there was no cutting involved, maybe a dry sump was involved which means the bottom of the sump is higher than usual in which they can lower it more? mind you it did have ITBs so that increased its height but i dunno
not sure if the hight was so much the issue, but the Yellow k20a Jazz that is seen on the forums now and then has had the firewall cut (or so I've been told).
i asked SU-WOOP about it and he said that the place that did it would not give up the secret as to why and where the incision is made.
depends what you put with it, it may or may not need cutting. all i know is J's racing didnt cut anything (according to what they say)
by looking at this i dont think any cutting is necessary
