sup guys, i had a quick search but couldnt seem to find what i was looking for.
anyways, for a couple of years now, whenever i was my car, my tail lights fill up with a bit of water.
any idea whats causing this and how to solve it?
its deffinetly gotten worse as time has gone on.
it leaks out the bottom of the tail lights and under the bumper for god knows how long and recently ive noticed its now leaking into the spare wheel well.
help please
take rear lights out
theres like this rubber looking gasket thing right thats meant to be attached to the tail lights
if thats broken or teared it may cause the water to run through the tail lights

Oh really 25 a pair.. Fark I though 50 each sounded abut farfetched but that's just what I remember hearing somewhere..

That shitty neoprene piece (foam like) is there to stop water vapour getting in. Your tail lights won't fill up even if the neoprene is faulty.

Aah, hadn't thought about that, mine is broken, but the seal is OK I think, doesnt explain water on both sides in same place, am going to remove the antenna anyway as I never listen to radio (ever) or do the S2000 one?
okay guys i just called peter warren honda dealer and i was wrong with the price... but they arent $25.... they are $63.05 each so DIY them if you have to FCUK paying 120 for a pair of gaskets
DIY isn't far off that price.
Neoprene isn't cheap.
or you can buy foam
clark rubber :) the foam is pretty cheap enough. to make 2 gaskets would probably be like $10-15maxx
foam is worse than shit old oem, I've tried.
But anyway, its not the OP's problem.
its the cracks.

Drill three small holes at the bottom of each light. It's the cheapest and easiest fix.
i have the same problem on my dc2r. Had water flooding my boot too. I just went to buy black silicone and sealed up the small gaps around the lights.. though i would recommend letting the silicone cure for at least 2 days. I didnt have the time so when it rained the next day black stuff started leaking from the lights.. I also wouldnt recommend speeding up the curing process with a hair dryer too, it just makes it crusty and not rubbery

that was what really helped for me...
its not perfect but after the heavy rain over last night theres 90% less water then what used to be not a complete fix but really helped it...
Pick yourself up some homebrand vasoline 1$-4$ take the tails out and rub the vaso all on the front and back of the gasket where it seals, you will see a small groove. Then chuck them back on.. Quick fix if seals aren't already to far gone. done it couple months ago fixed it, had no leaking in or lights filled up with water since.

^WTF 1cm drill holes?! i used the smallest drill bit possible (not even a millimetre) and made about 8 holes all up. Next time i wash my car ill have a look. Ill try bigger holes if its not coming out fast enough
