I have done the 20,000Km/12 months service today, and it cost me $197 only, and free installation of the exhaust pipe finisher (one of the Jazz accessories)! May be different state have different price!Quote:

I quoted John Blair's Honda (Prahran) several months ago for 20000K service. They gave me $320... wtf?!?!
That's one reason why I had to cancel and source to another service station (UltraTune). It cost me almost half the price with my service book stamped.
I guess Honda doesn't have a standard price now....hmmm.... interesting....and suspicious....

Shouldn't the 30kkm service be around the same price as 10kkm? It was so long ago I can't remember... :)
I recently had my 80,000km service done at Collins (rockdale).. it was around the $400-500 range from memory. They are expensive, but do a really good job. (After years of messing around with dodgy mechanics I am happy just to pay the extra..)

actually, for an auto car, if u allways run on free way or highway, the fuel consumption is lower then only run within a city or town. Coz' an auto car takes many fuel when braking!

It's essential to get checked and oil/oilfilter changed at 1kkm... It's like making sure the brand new car has no faults...
oh well, too bad for those guys who didn't get for free. just mention it to them next time you get a new car.
I think the labor fee is free, but u still need to pay for the engine oil!Quote:

i think it all depends on the dealer - whether or not he wants to offer 1st service for free. i certainly didn't get it for free .. but it's not that expensive though, as compared to a 10000kms or 20000kms servicing.
Yes I agree with you. My Jazz is bought in larke hoskins Homebush, and the first service (1000km) is not free for materials like Engine Oil, Oil filter and they charge for the detergent on the windscreen too~~ :thumbdwn: what the f......
and they didn't stamp my log book ...i gotta ask them to stamp it on 5k km and I will go to other Honda dealer for servicing for SURE. god bless LH homebush ....

I sent my car there for oil & oil filter change last Saturday. Very fast (got there early so need not wait). Cheaper than what the dealer charges for similar work. Most importantly, they know what they are doing.
I actually got everything for free; all oil changed etc...Quote:

GWS? Garry Warren Smith? for my 20k km service, I got quoted for $285 with the Gold card discount, and I end up paying $215 at Courtney and Patterson without the Gold Card..... so I don't think I will ever go and service at GWS anymore.... :DQuote:

MRFIT, GWS is a ripe off for service. They charge more and no courtey car too.
courtesy car? which dealer has FREE ones? let me know...... cos I thought it cost about 30 bucks a day to have one....
zzzz.. You guys pay $320 for 20000KM is still cheap... :( mine 390 for my type S :( so sad....
Jazz type S???
What is Jazz Type S??
i know Jazz GLi, VTi, VTi-S and Classic in Australia, but don't know Type S this model? is it import form other countries?
import!? haha...never heard
I think he just got Type S and VTi-S mixed up. That's all. I don't even think that Jazz Type S exists.
post up ur pic pls
can't believe you guys are still going on about this, it's probably a joke and that person is just sitting back and laughing at your reactions
i already know he juz bullshit.
what? My 1000 service only cost me $29.88 at highway honda....Quote:

Ultra tune claim that their stamp is as good as honda stamp, not void honda warranty....
well..... I watched the Best Motoring VTEC club, the guy that owns Spoon said that the Honda engine oil is actually quite good.......
I agree the dealers are making at least 50% profit by doing the service, but when it comes to re-sale value, Dealer stamp is worth alot more than Ultra tune.... :)

if u check out other threads in this forum, u'll find that the honda oil is held in high regards by many. not cheap too.
zimp13 - what do you not like about the oil?
and yes . .labour costs are expensive. also there is the $15 environment levy the dealer charges for disposing oil. :p
oil & filter change is relatively straight forward. u just need a good set of jack stands, ,car jack and filter wrench. i'm gonna do the oil change myself and only bring the car in for major servicing (eg 10000kms, 20000kms etc .. )
I think Honda oils is from Nisseki (ENEOS) http://www.eneos.co.jp/
Is a Jap oil company and BAR-Honda uses it in there engine so it must be good lol :D
I rang up three dealers today for quote for 30,000km service:
Garry and Warren Smith: $215
Courtney and Patterson: $219
Eastern Honda Doncaster: $205
so I guess not all services are cheaper in one dealer...... really have to ask around each time around..... cos for my 20,000km service, the quotes were:
Garry and Warren Smith: $279
Courtney and Patterson: $215
Easter Honda Doncaster: $235
how abt Ringwood one?
so far!!!!!
I am working Mon ~ Fri....... so can only service my car on Sat..... which most dealers open til 12pm mid-day.....
I've booked in for this sat morning, drop it off at 8:30am...... and pick it up before 12.... what the hell am I going to do for 2.5 hours??? without a car, I can't go anywhere...... :( :( :(
bro .. u can try to observe what they are doing so that you can do your own servicing next time!! :D
they have free coffee n buscuit... :D:D:D hehe
If you go to Garry and Warren Smith, you can do the following...Quote:
