Cam seals could be the reason its leaking oil from the timing cover. hmmmm. Could be timing, Relay for the fuel pump? sounds like its got spark but no fuel to ignite it.
Hopefully some one that's a bit more mechanically minded will help you out.
Good luck mate.
thanks aparently it started a few weeks ago but one sum one came out to look at it it did not start so he pushed it in to his yard and was gonna get it looked at but dont have the time so i asked him he said he wants it gon
any ideas any one
Make friends with a mechanic, and get him to help you diagnose it in person.
Or organise an NRMA guy to look at it, hopefully you can share the expense.
Short of that, there's a million reasons a car will not start.
was talking to my mate thinks it might be the fuel pump relay problem said he had a similar thing hapen in his
ok picked up the car yesterday it is getting no spark any ideas
Ignition Module perhaps?
Hey, what state are you in?
nsw man why
If your not getting any spark the best places to start are checking the condition of your leads, plugs, distributor and ignition module.
Generally i think its a good idea to replace the leads and plugs when you buy a car as part of a service.
Next thing after that i'd do is check the distributor, check the cap and rotor button for cracks wear etc.
ok tool it to a mechanice he said it was a relay under the dash so i changed it and still nothing he said the check engine light should stay on not go out untill the engine is running
Have you checked any of the suggestions we have made yet? So far in this thread:
Relay for the fuel pump from post #2
Ignition Module from post #8 and #11
Condition of leads, plugs, distributor from post #11
Check distributor capr and rotor button for cracks and wear, from post #11.
changed IM puled the leads out and there was oil on 2 of them
Got me stumped on that one.. Might be best to go see an auto electrician
oil on the leads would make it run poorly but it should still run
got the thing running it was the dizzy but when i started it up i found the front main oil seal was stuffed
Sounds like time to put H22 in it anyway :D
nope rebuilding a f22 aiming for 300 hp with spray
Oh wow keen for build thread with pics :)
there will be in the new year just doing research atm
