b18c7 piston type? Flat top or hi-top?

hey guys,

i was wondering, what pistons do b18c7 have? Flat top or hi-top/dome top pistons?

Got a few questions here, first i'd like to ask, why do some poeple replace the b18 head with b16 head? I've seen some combination where people uses pr3 head onto their c2/c7 and uses type r or p72 cams/valves/ springs and etc.. Whats the advantage of this? From my understanding, b16 head has 1cc more than the b18 head? Is that true? If so wouldnt that mean you'll lose compression?

Also,

whats the difference between c7 motor and c2 motor? (just motor wise)

c7 has flat top, not high dome like b16b pistons.
that compression difference would not mean much at all, dont even think it would make any difference.

maybe they think b16a head flows better than c2 head. idk, never seen any flow chart etc.
c7 has longer duration, higher lift cam and dual valve springs.

idk the difference between c2 & c7 shortblock wise.

I think the most common answer to this is people put in what they have lying around.

I was under the impression that the B16A head flowed better than many B18 heads which is why they're the common choice for B20's.

C7 > C2. More powerful.

B18C7 has a Ported B16a head

that has 11.8:1 comp on a b16 block? lolol
if i use that on a b18, i'll get 13 something comp.. too high for daily driving lol
