fought the euro had at least 2keys? im guessing a replacement key would be expensive $$ as from honda
Just give Honda dealer you vin should be fine
gonna cost you an arm and a leg mate. This time make sure to make a spare one as well, just in case you know.
Reprogrammed immobiliser? Very expensive.
Don't need to program immobiliser
Aww man thats homo, sooo would i need to get it towed to a honda dealership?
What would be the cheapest way of getting a new key?
My car was unlocked in my garage when i lost it, but i checked everywhere inside the car and in the house but nothing..
I don't think there's no other cheaper way to getting a new programed key other then Honda. You don't need to get it towed. Just call them up and give them your car details. It may take a few days, as it may be made to order.
Has it ever happened to you gexter? Would you know the approximate price of all that?
This will cost you!I reckon you'll need to get your car towed to Honda service dept.,they'll need to take out the ignition barrel, get two keys cut, then reprogram immobiliser and central locking.cost approx.$1000.Call Honda to confirm.
Ill say it once more call Honda give them your vin that's it.
No Need to take your car.
Its about 400 i think
thanks tony and marque, i'll call on monday and see how it goes
just for future reference guys you can buy spare blank keys off a website dealextreme.com free shipping to aus and a blank accord euro key costs about 6 bux and about 100 bux to get it cut and reprogrammed. opposed to the 200+ honda wanted.
I've called Honda this morning and the guy said that itll cost 280 for the key itself (cutted) and then an extra 50 bux to get it coded. I'll have to tow the car to the nearest honda myself and they will do everything from there.
Why is it so cheap? I seriously thought itll cost me like 800-1000, i am so relieved!
I had a lock smith drive out to my car. Cut the key in the back of the van, programed it on the spot. Charged me $350.
thats awesome, would you happen to know any good locksmiths in melbourne? It cost me approx that amount but the bad thing is ill have to tow my car to honda
theres tow trucks on a website gumtree.com.au general charge is averaging 60 bucks if you don't want to pay the corporate monsters and furthermore should invest in road side assist for under 200 bux can go a long way.
Hrmm nahh all good, my parents found a friend that does towing and is only charging 100. thanks anyways though kural!
