But i wouldnt want to take more than a few mm off.
How much do you want to adjust it?
If you are machining the lip to make the offset higher eg +0 to +30
Don't forget you are also changing wheel "width" at the same time

Shaving of the centre part that attaches to hub is mainly used when people want to run a slightly fatter tyre.
