Perfect! Lets you hear the VTEC, yo.

get your earth grounding line is loose and gets more loose when you engage vtec... i would suggest to pull the deck out and checks the wires...
The Engine is drawing so much power in vtec. That it sucks all the voltage from the battery. I think u better down grade your motor. Or at least look at a bigger alternator and battery to handle all that power and current drawn during vtec!
Other than the reason above. I doubt it be a ground from the motor to the chassis. As the inner car circuits have a separate ground! Pull your deck out and check the wiring. Also check the fuse box to see that the fuse in in correctly. not half hanging out!.
Check your vtec fluid
on a more seirous note, is your alternator keeping up? Does anything else die?
take your head unit out and check if the plugs and wires are loose !
suck shit mate
My money is on a pretty little vafc or similar sitting on the dash once upon a time...
Check for any evidence of anything being spliced into the head unit wiring.
I'm just a noob dude, cut me some slack huh?
Where's the ecu wiring?
Where's the headunit wiring?
Where do you think the average vafc(or similar) buyer gets the the new toy home, pulls out the diagram and starts cutting wiring in without knowing much about what he's doing?
Probably doesn't even know what an ecu looks like.
Get my drift?
I've seen it all before mate...
What's even worse mocchi is you get fkups from people simply trying to remove said devices from the vehicle, that may have even been wired correctly to begin with.
Btw I wasnt addressing you in the first instance mocchi, you snuck in there while I wasnt looking.
This is how it should be, trust me! Gotta hear all that v-tac YO!
Cool, my little rex did 13.8@100 too.
Like I said, you're the expert, I'm just trying to learn here...
Edit: Snaked again...
Wow, this is getting spooky,
I luv jap dc2rs.
Ever been past that Westons fully automated flour mill on the Hume at strathfield there?
I spent 4years there, doing a whole heap of shit, from pulling and fitting off 3phase and neutral xlpe 500's,right up to fitting out and commissioning the mcc's.
Threading your elbows between live 2kA buses with the nearest fuse all the way back at the substation, steel conduit, having to call the supply authority to get permission to startup a single motor, ahhhh.... Used to luv all that stuff....
Who's angry?
Think you're spending too much time reading between the lines, that's what females do.
Try reading on the line instead.
Stay on topic OzHomos!
Check the wiring around your VTEC solenoid and just make sure it's all tight/intact. Also clean the grounds in your engine bay (wires bolted to the chassis, just take them off, sand the grounding points, and re-attach).
Just hoping but probably not the issue..
is battery condition ok?
are you dead sure its once vtec kicks in?
or maybe since the stereo is off it sounds louder?
who knows.
maybe the other guy wired it up for spirited driving and cruising modes.
Your VTEC solenoid might be somehow grounded to your headlights? Is the ground wiring original or has someone put together an aftermarket ground/capacitator kit?
When in doubt install a flux capacitor!
dont know what i did, but it doesn't happen anymore.
thanks everyone who tried to help out
check your oil maybe you ran out of vtec fluid?
Vtec yo
