with money, anythings possable. i guess it comes down to if they are still importable or how much effort your willing to put in building one
Would definitely be awesome but 99% of people wouldn't know the different between a ferio and a normal 4 door eg, perhaps building a sleeper would be a more cost effective solution.
leave people at the lights going :O (within the speed limit for political correctness)
There's a for sale thread featuring an EG ferio (sedan) for sale in Victoria.
You can't import a EG9 through SEVS as the 4DR EH? Was sold in Australia by Honda and just having a different powerplant [B16 v D16] isn't sufficent to pass the SEVS requirements.
So to import from JP, you need to go through personal import which requires you to prove ownership/usage for 1yr then you need to find someone to do the basic compliance and then registration.
Ie, not easy to do but doable, whether you want to do it for the EG9 though is a different story...
Turns out his wasn't the 4wd manual model, which is what I'm after... Didn't even realise there was different versions of the ferio >.>
Was thinking a 4wd civic would be pretty awesome... Have no idea how strong the system would be though.
The only Ferio with 4WD MT is the EH1 Ferio RTSi and the RTX. However they're powered by the ZC not the B16A
The only Honda that's 4wd and b series is the crv with the b20
look on teh googles and youtubes, in the US theres an EF hatch running wagonvan running gear and a turbo d series making about 400hp from memory.
awd launches look siiiiiiiiiick
epic tuning have the 4wd ef hatch and a eg civic coupe that they converted to 4wd/rwd with a turbo b series runs like 10s
You could import one as track only then swap everything over into an Ausdel shell.
Epic :D
But yeah, now the question is... Where do I find one to import/ buy?
ive got a mate going to new zealand to visit family, i think im gonna get him to track down an awd ef sedan...
or at the least, a one piece headlight front end to ship back over.
well yeah but its welded in not bolted in.
Well thats ghey.
you can always try to find a jdm concerto they're full time 4wd
Kristian at Iron Chef is great. You can check sites like goo-net to look at dealer cars, You'll also get an idea of what(Inflated dealer) prices are. Private cars and auction cars will in most cases be cheaper.
Good luck!!
My one is the only one I have seen in Australia and I have been browsing ebay/carsales/gumtree for 3 years.... I also haven't seen one pop up on Trademe NZ before
The 4wd civic wagon was sold here in Australia which is more easier to find.
Theres a EF2 with the 1 piece headlights getting around my area somewhere haha!!
thats the dream man, more desirable to me than an ef9 front end.
Id love the one peice headlights with a wago bumper

Npz, as Miguelone has said, there are many sources that cars can be attained from Dealers [General & Specialised - Expect these guys to be VERY expensive] and Auctions. Be sure when you're trying to import, find out where the car is from and what the status of the car is [eg. Caryard on display, sitting in a holding yard/dockyard, etc], I bought my AE111 without knowing it sat in the yards [Was told it was from a dealer] for a long time so upon arrival, it had to have a few things replaced alongside the compliance work.
If its from the auctions, check out the full inspection sheet as it should tell you the conditions of the car. Auctions you in general you might be waiting for a long while for the 'right' car and the 'right' price. For example cult cars like a BNR32 or AE86 is impossibly expensive @ auctions. So not all cars are cheaper via Auction.
Just some experience I wanted to pass on.
i have the solution. just put in landcruiser drive train. easy.
or the subaru civic has 4wd turbo, grated the badge says wrx but thats just for the audm, trust me its a ferio turbo. no probs
